Today, Crown Princess attended the "Ocean Conference" held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, USA. The Conference aims to be the game changer that will reverse the decline in the health of our ocean for people, planet and prosperity The Governments of Fiji and Sweden have the co-hosting responsibilities of the Conference. |

Bare shoulders during business? Strange.
ReplyDeleteThe off the shoulder was at the "launch" which was probably after 5 since they have drinks in their hands. The business conference (the last two pictures) she wore a short sleeved dress.

DeleteThis whole look is fresh and fun. I enjoy the earrings and hope to see them on the news in action! NPR interviewed a wildlife photog ahead of the conference-very informative. I wish them luck on this matter. Sigh...back to fashion!

One is the "launch" of Reconnecting Humanity with the Sea and there are obviously drinks in hand and a reception get together which the off the shoulder would be appropriate since it is probably an after 5 event. The other event is the "business" event and she is wearing a dress to that which is not off the shoulder.
ReplyDeleteThey drink champagne, dont sit down to listen lectures, so i suppose its rather a semi-official reception. Recently Queen Laetizia opted for bare shoulders as well so i think its okay. If you look at the last two pics she is perfectly dressed for a conference.
ReplyDeleteLove her posture in the last picture. She looks very confident and holds herself well. Great dress. Recently she appeared to be wearing baggies clothes but that seems to have changed.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say the same - she looks REGAL, ready to take over whatever is happening. I'm glad to see that you also noticed that. The dress has interesting fabric, sort of a lace made with ribbon. I like it!
DeleteHa ha, looks like "Victoria & Albert"!(yes, the names are similar) do have a good party-time! One glass of champagne for me too, please! This is, where the money goes. Good causes and money wasting everywhere. She looks lovely and slim in the last picture. Just the hair, as usual.

DeleteJust noticed, Victoria looks a lot like Madeleine in the black/white photo. Very similar facial features, especially the shape of her eyes.. just an observation.
ReplyDeleteI like that second dress, it suits Victoria perfect, the first choice with bare shoulders looks somehow odd on her as it is forced to look special but she's not feeling comfort in it.

DeleteMybe I didn't specified enough what I mean: it doesn't look good on her - she doesn't know how to wear such clothes, she isn't natural in them. That's why I wasn't so surprised when Letizia wore similar outfit with bare shoulders. Not to mention that this occasion wasn't quite right time to wear such top.

I also noticed the resemblance to Madeleine in the black and white photo. If her hair was looser it would be even more noticeable.

ReplyDeleteI think she looks lovely - I like the blouse and skirt ensemble. She has a lot of charisma and seems very charming. I suspect she just bought an off the shoulder blouse because she liked it - there are a lot around this year - as I doubt she has to copy Princess Charlene...
