On June 27, 2017, King Felipe of Spain and Queen Letizia of Spain held an official lunch at Zarzuela Palace in Madrid for President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor. (Queen Letizia wore a Cherri blouse from Hugo Boss. We saw that same blouse on Crown Princess Mary at the "Crown Princess Mary Scholarship" ceremony on April 29th, 2016.) |
She looks impeccable but I'm not sure this is quite appropriate for an official lunch with a visiting head of state (it's the skinny pants that are bothering me).
ReplyDeleteI agree. Everything is perfect but perhaps not suited for the occasion.
DeleteIt is clasic black pants. What is wrong with it?
Deletereally!. You need to look at her stance.her abilities in decorum. .pretty good to me.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't questioning her decorum, just that she would have looked even better in something other than skinny pants.
DeleteShe wears lots of pants.
ReplyDeleteIt is time to notice that King Felipe is the snazziest dresser of all the kings in Europe. His windowpane plaid suit is stunning, beautifully fitted and tailored to his height. The blue tie is a nice accent. Both the king and queen are outstanding representatives of their country and manage to be admirable as they perform their jobs.
ReplyDeleteAgree. They both always look good although we sometimes quibble a bit about Letizia's outfits but that's what we're here for, right?
DeleteK Hass, you hit it! I am sure, every "girl" noticed it a while ago, ha ha! Stunning. I noticed today again: beautiful, but tired? Letizia...
DeleteI think she looks lovely - elegant but practical, cool for summer. I love the earrings and her hair looks nice here. Very small point - the lipliner is a bit distracting for me, maybe just because it's not her usual look.
ReplyDeleteNot liner, filler perhaps?
DeleteNice enough ensemble, but to me Letizia has been off her sartorial game of late.
DeleteShe may have had fillers but I enlarged the photos for a closer look. She's definitely got a lipliner effect going on.
DeleteFiller was my first thiught
DeleteThis outfit made me think it's her 'casual Friday'. Not an official lunch. Being hot outside has nothing to do with it, a light silk dress would have been at least as easy to wear and certainly more appropriate.
ReplyDeleteMary of Denmark wore that same outfit a while back. It's pretty but too informal for a meeting with a head of state.
ReplyDeleteAnelle June 28, 2017
ReplyDeleteI just wish that king Felipe will shave his beard!!!
I think that it would be more appropiate, if she wore a skirt.
