Duchess Catherine visited King's College Hospital

On June 12, 2017, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has paid a surprise visit to survivors of the London terror attacks, quietly meeting with victims and staff at King's Hospital. The Duchess arrived at the south east London hospital at 1.50pm, for a visit that was not publicised in advance to enable staff to continue to treat those affected without disruption. The Duchess's posture seems remarkably improved in these photos. She looks very nice and is doing good work and seems comfortable doing these engagements on her own!

  4. It's a good thing that she reappeared to provide some support for those caught in this tragedy. Too bad it took 10 days for her to show up. She hasn't been seen at other engagements, either. I like the model's skirt better. Catherine's is a bit tight and short for a sitting-by-bedsides hospital visit. Overall, it's OK. Blue is a good color for her.

    1. Precisely my thought, Pine: "a bit tight and short for a sitting-by-bedsides hospital visit". This is an occasion that calls for a skirt that falls just beneath the knees. Sorry to be snarky, but CP Mary's outfits are always very 'event appropriate'.

    2. Come on, folks, she's not wearing hotpants!

  6. This suit must be very OLD because it must have come "off the rack" somewhere. It is made for somebody six inches shorter than she is. Compare the waistline on the model to Catherine's - nowhere near her waist. The skirt is too short. It is a lovely suit but not made for her long body.

    1. Smart observation about the waistline mad proportions of the suit.

  7. She has two Rebecca Taylor suits that are almost identical. I believe this is the newer one, which she wore for a similar occasion only a few months ago.

  8. As per usual as of late, the Duchess looks beautiful and her outfit is just a little, well, beneath her. From the neck down she looks like a "business woman" on a soap opera. And why does she wear pastels in winter and now navy in the summer? I don't know, I am still excited whenever Kate makes an appearance, but she rarely delivers like she used to.

  9. Huge security risk to get Royals immediately where a terror incident took place. It was said so many times the British Royals don't want to put extra pressure on security forces with visits. She can wear tight suits she has the body and built. As always a very beautiful lady who don't the limelight on her but on the issue can't say it from some royal ladies more to the north of Europe always make sure the cameras are on them and not the issue they represented!!

    1. Prince William had an adequate security detail when he went daddy dancing with the hostesses of a swiss ski resort this winter leaving his family at home, but he has not found the time to visit his countymen and women victims of a terrorist attentate. His grandmother did visit them as soon as it was possible to do so without interfering with the hospital procedures. And now he sends the wife but he himself is nowhere to be seen except having fun at a horse event this last weekend. The same can be said of the Prince of Wales. A pair of petulant, entitled men the both of them.

    2. "Sakurihame", the Duchess joined Prince Wiiliam at the Polo-Event at the week-end.
So, the lovely Duchess in that tiny, lovely outfit... O.k., better late than never. And there are other members of the "Firm" too, right? It's strange, how devote they are standing all in line. Saw similar pictures from the northern countries, they handle it more casual and easy.

    3. Sakurahime get your facts in order. Prince William did visit the emergency and responded forces who were involved with the Manchester terror attack. He also sign a book in the cathedral of Manchester. He also have a career and already accompany the queen to an event in Buckingham Palace a couple of weeks ago.

    4. William also visited Royal Manchester Children's Hospital to privately meet with families who have been supported following the attack. Get your facts in order Sakurahime before accusing Prince William of only having fun. Many pictures of the Prince in Manchester.

  11. Catherine is tall and slim an ideal frame to dress. Ideally I'd prefer to see her in longer straight skirts, with a blouce (safe option) and a more fitted longer sleeved jacket. Her hair up and secured. And for comfortable option a smaller heel. All this combined would give her a more confident posture.

  12. It is true it is an older suit. Very appropriate. I for
one would not have liked to see her come out for such a visit with a smashing new suit. As to why she is not more visible, she is not the crown princess and has young children. They should be her priority right now. There are enough members of the royal family to make these visits. When she becomes the crown princess, and I hope her children will be older, she will have lots of time to work harder. There is a time for everything. The Queen knows that better than anyone. Unfortunately, she had no choice.

    1. Mimi, you are right. I always wonder, where Prince Andrew and his lovely daughters are hiding themselfes. As well, dear Edward? Is he sending off his wife Sophie only? Catherine seems to be overwhelmed, tired and sad sometimes. But maybe it's just me.
