On May 9, 2017, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip visited the Pangbourne College on the occasion of the school's centenary in Berkshire. Founded in 1917 as a training college for officers of the merchant navy, Pangbourne College is now a co-educational boarding and day school for 400 pupils aged between 11-18

  1. Es gibt einen netten Spruch von Prinz Philipp, als er kurz nach der Hochzeit von einem Freund auf den strahlenden Teint und die tolle Gesichtshaut seiner Gattin angesprochen wurde. Er soll daraufhin gesagt haben, diese hätte sie überall. Und heute kann man sagen, mit 91 (!) hat sie eine bessere Haut als viel Jüngere. Ich glaube nicht, dass sie es mit der Pflege übertrieben hat, obwohl sie sich natürlich die teuerste Kosmetik leisten könnte. Irgendwie scheint sie mir ein Yardley Girl zu sein. Jahrzehntelanges Reiten bewahrt ihr die gute Haltung. Chanelliges Outfit mit pfiffigem Hut und keine Omatreter sondern moderate Heels mit Trensenzier. Respekt, Ma'am!

    1. CatchTheScoop: Good posture? Really? I mean, the Queen is a'n old Lady now and everyone can see this. And her skin incl. her good make-up!! are definitely in the careful hands of others. This neck and her cheeks are well preserved, but not be "Mother Nature".

    1. No, she believes it's a job for life - she swore an oath at the coronation that she takes extremely seriously. Prince Charles has more freedom now than if he were to be king.

      And I quite like her typical Queeny outfit.
