Awkward clutch and amazing fit that makes this suit an unexpected win IMHO. Of course, we're talking Maxima here. Interested to read everyone else's take=)
If there is something that maxima is not that is just being fake.I always see her very spontaneous. Any way she too can have her bad days: an espression in a pic is not enough to judge her so hardly.
I noticed that her smile and body language is different on these pictures than usual. She does not feel comfortable in this place at all. One can feel it. In the last picture where she shakes hands with this gentleman with blue jacket, this gesture and smile does not ome from heart, she keeps the longest possible distance to him with an outstretched arm.
I don't agree that her smile is often a fake smile. I find it often very genuine and warm. But regarding her many engagements, one can understand that one does not feel the same every day. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. Same for any full time working person. But at least her face shows vivid facial expressions, whereas some of the royal ladies, maybe due to botox show only a small range of expressions. I think of Mary lately, her face, her smile seems to be frozen.
I know that the cape/jacket style of sleeve is "in fashion" and several Royal ladies own and wear outfits with a variety of takes on this type of sleeve however, in my humble opinion a jacket and a cape is a hybrid that should never have seen the light of day. Honestly they hurt my eyes.
Nothing for a fashion-blog about this...

ReplyDeleteOMG Maxima!!! do something with that hair, please! Not crazy about her outfit either.
ReplyDeleteFake smile/grin especially in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteThat's often the case with Maxima, but no one seems to notice (except you).
DeleteHi Iris, not true. I guess a few people do notice it clearly...

Nothing special about the outfit [a bit matronly and bland] and the hair is dreadful. Just tie it back, or something.
ReplyDeleteOh meh ~ I got nothing
