This one is... well... It's not a particularly pricey piece for £99 but honestly, I wouldn't have paid 19 for it. Dull colours, unshapely cut. No.
ReplyDeleteDress looks much better to Catherine than to model. She looks fresh. I think it is also suitable for occasion when William is very casual with rolled sleeves.
ReplyDeleteThese paparazzi shots of a couple heading quietly to a private family gathering are unsettling. No wonder Willam is so adamant (some say paranoid) about privacy. The photos are out there, and I am looking at them, but can't shake the feeling that they should never have been taken. And I can't really comment on her dress for that reason. She should have been considered "off duty".
ReplyDeleteAlthough I agree in principle, I think these two look like they were very aware that photos would get taken and prepared and behaved accordingly. We know what Kate looks like when she really is "private" (and I agree we shouldn´t know), but this is not one of those times. This looks very polished and dressed-up, like you would expect for a semi-official occasion (this is how I would categorize family occasions in royal families).
DeleteI take your point well made, Vanessa. But these shots still make me feel uneasy. It was evening; there was nothing on their calendar; who would have taken these photos? Someone lurking in the bushes on the street? It's a grim, fine line.
DeleteWhy is is that whenever William and Kate gets photographed by paps people are so quick to cry "respect their privacy" but when other various royals get photographed people are quick on here to critique their clothes, claim they're looking at the camera, etc..
DeleteWilliam and Kate aren't special little delicate snowflakes and it's getting annoying that people are treating them like they are.
What I have seen here, all paparazzi pictures get about same amount criticism. Actually streets are public places and there anybody can take pictures of all others. So these pictures are basically legal ones. Last week we had pics of Mathilde inside a store, that was illegal. All pictures taken in private places without permission are illegal.
Deletekate is nice, all the time
ReplyDeleteI like the dress. And I think they both look relaxed.
ReplyDeleteShe should have worn sandals??
