DeletePeople keep on saying how nice this dress is. Okay, the color is good on her, but the dress does once again not fit properly. The midriff is too high, makes the skirt part look like a pregnancy dress, sleeves are either too long or too short.
ReplyDeleteShe needs another cut of the skirt part. Whole dress is two inches too short, it makes her legs look strange and stick-like. I also think these pointed shoes are not the best with the dress.
The coat does indeed look like a bathrobe.

Pink and grey indeed is lovely on her. It matches her eyes, photo no.2 is a beautiful portrait of the queen. But I would love to see her with a more modern hairstyle.
DeleteAll in all I agree, the dress is good on her, but often with Mathildes dresses some details are not perfect, often the waistline is wrong and most of her dresses are too short. And this makes the difference between good and great. But maybe it's just me, I seem to be a perfectionist when it comes to tailoring ;-)) But then again I don't understand it, because she wears expensive brands, you would think the designers would fit the dresses for their famous client.
Yes, exactly Beth, that's what I thought too when I sad I didn't like her hair that much - not that she is unkempt or not styled - but if she had a little bit more playful, modern hairstyle I think it would added to her already very nice look.
DeleteAgree about the hair. Mathilde carries herself very well and with some exceptions, she usually has a very nice look. Her skin is impeccable thus, a more playful & less rigid hairstyle would do her wonders and take years off her overall look

ReplyDeleteHM always looks at her best in subtle range of colours. If she could refrain from back coming her hair, and maybe add some highlights to brighten, think that might make a difference.
