| To conclude the state visit, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hold a reciprocal event at the Black Diamond, with participation by The Queen, Prince Frederik, Princess Mary, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Princess Elisabeth. First there held a concert, after which King Philippe and Queen Mathilde and the Danish royal family meet some of the artists. Afterwards, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde host a dinner at Black Diamond. |

ReplyDeleteI do not like Mary's dress, looks a bit cheap because of the neckline. I like the colour though! Marie's dress is gorgeous. Mathilde's dress is also great except the see throught sleeves.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we will see more of the cutouts from royals this year. I think like this trend better than the ethereal/peasant dresses we have seen. Letizia has also dared the cutout look. It is fun to watch each royal's interpretation!

ReplyDeleteI am very surprised Mathilde's fashion choice for this trip. She is the NO. 1. Marie is OK. Don't like Mary's dress. This kind of dress fits taller women.
ReplyDeleteI have always found that Prince Joachim and Princess Marie are less formal than the Crown Prince couple, they always hold hands in formal events and their way to pose for photos is really different. Probably is because of their status. I live them anyways
ReplyDeleteI have also noticed that Mary and Frederik are not affectionate in public. Quite different to Mathilde and Philippe (see the first photo) and to Maxima and Willem-Alexander.

ReplyDeleteI really like Mary's dress, the color is fabulous, and the neckline is different and daring, but she looks exquisite, love the clutch and I would kill for those Manolos. I think Mathilde looks OK, but spite of the bright red it just another dress. Can't appreciate Marie's dress on these pictures.

ReplyDeleteMarie's dresses allways seem to be in the samme " Rikke Gudnitz style" year after year, incredibly boring! But I think Marie herself likes it plain and in black ??
I love the colour of Mary's dress however I am not sure if I like the neckline or not. The clutch is lovely and it goes with this gown as beautifully as it went with the outfit Mary wore to Prince Albert's wedding despite the difference in colour.
ReplyDeleteMathilde's dress leaves me cold and unfortunately I cannot see enough of either Queen Margrethe's gown or Marie's gown.
Princess Elisabeth looks quite nice with the exception of the open toe shoes/sandals.
Among ancesters of Princess Mary of Denmark, also there are another Scottish clans from highlands. Many of them played important rolls in Scotland history and Character development;also, her british ancesters too. By looking Princess Mary of Denmark is possible to say that she is a perfect lady. Farthest that, she is a worker woman, intelligent woman and a woman proud of her adoption nation. In this sense, she has been a perfect and honoreble and honest and dignify representative of Denmark face to the world and like an Australian citizen has leaved to Australia in high position. Perhaps, and it is so possible, the blood of her ancesters runs by her veins with dignify, doing her the person she is. ........ It is noticiable the light she gives to her "companion of life" and I said companion of life because at the end that is the real for her husband, who is a lucky man at all. ................... In my opinion, the blue is perfect for her even her coat of arms really is three starts gold over red supered by a helm of legitime knight.
ReplyDeleteMathilde is naturaly very elegant woman and when she dresses like this time she usualy looks best of all. Simple but georgeous dress suits her perfectly.
ReplyDeleteMary missed the point with this dress - it's more suitable for some cocktail party. Marie's black dress is beautiful. Maybe Margrethe (I hope) someday stops wearing fur.

DeleteWer außer Kronprinzessin Mary könnte ein solch 'schwieriges' Kleid so toll tragen? Satin, Cut-Outs - sie kann's. An ihr sieht das Abendkleid viel besser aus als am Model. Das Kleid braucht wenigstens ein bisschen weibliche Rundungen, um so richtig gut auszusehen - und über diese verfügt KP Mary. Lediglich die an sich sehr schöne Clutch hätte ich gegen ein etwas schmaleres Modell eingetauscht. Man sieht, dass sich die Herrschaften auf einen schönen Abend freuen.
