  1. Very sad. My thoughts are with the family.

  2. I have so many thoughts on the outfits but somehow it doesn't seem fitting to write them down. Maybe because I quite like Benedicte and feel so sorry for her loss. And of her family's of course.

  5. How few of the male royals have trousers that are properly hemmed for length.

  6. I am very sad for Princess Benedikte. I've never seen such a look of raw pain on anyone's face. God bless her.

  7. What I don't understand: why do some of the ladies wear a hat and others do not? Should they not all wear a hat on an occasion like this?

    1. The all have been wearing a hat, a fascinator or a head-band (Princess Madeleine) for the funeral service.

  8. True, many of the those in attendance do not look sad upon entering the Church. Who knows what is going through their minds, they are most likely putting on brave faces. The expressions we see on the faces of those exiting the Church are certainly different, they are raw with grief and sadness. Whilst funerals are often a celebration of someones life, it is often hard to celebrate the loss of a loved one's life whilst consumed by grief.

  9. Everyone expresses grief in their own way. Confusion and denial are phases of the grieving process where one wouldn't look sad. It's hard to know what is going through everyone's minds just from these few pictures.
I'm wondering where are the Greek royals? I see Queen Anne-Marie and King Constantine, but where are their children? They should be there just as the Danish cousins were. Prince Richard was their uncle too.

    3. Is one of their children this Maria Olympia-Person? Well I guess she's at a fashion-show, trying open-mouthed to climb the next step in her career and be invited to a fashion-dinner.

    4. She is the daughter of their eldest son, Crown Prince Pavlos, so she is their granddaughter.

  10. Somebody should tell Maxima that long strands of extensions on a woman in her mid forties look somewhat cheap. Marie's coat looks beautiful, her appearance is the best here. I know this is a funeral, but quite honestly I do not even know the person who died, I am not interested in royal family history, only in fashion, and some people like Mary seem to have taken the occasion like a catwalk anyway.
