Princess Tessy And Prince Louis Are Officially Divorced

Princess Tessy and Prince Louis of Luxembourg are officially divorced. Prince Louis and Princess Tessy, who announced their separation just a short while ago, was granted a "decree nisi" at London family court. The divorce was obtained by Princess Tessy on the grounds of "unreasonable behaviour". Unreasonable behaviour is one of five reasons for divorce in the United Kingdom.

  1. This is just sad. I hope that they will behave well for the sake of their two boys. I suspect there is quite a story behind this quick divorce.

  2. Est-ce qu'elle conserve automatiquement son titre de ''princesse'' ?

  4. That was quick. Does not promise good for their relationship with the boys really.

  5. This seems very fast. I know nothing of English law but is this what happens with mere "normals"?

    1. From what I've read, the decree absolute has to be requested six weeks and one day after the decree nisi. It's at the stage the marriage is legally dissolved. Still, for Tessy to have obtained her nisi, so quickly after announcing the separation, would make you think, they must have agreed the terms of the divorce prior to the documents being submitted to the family court.
Interesting that Tessy instigated the divorce, citing unreasonable behaviour ! The mind boggles !

  6. Why do I keep thinking that we will be reading before too long that Tessy is getting married to someone? I have heard nothing about another man, but for some reason I keep thinking this is what is going to happen.

  7. It would be absolutely nothing wrong with that. Many people are getting divorce and getting married again .
She didn't pledge to join a convent .

    1. I'd be interested in your opinion as a Luxembourgian on this. At my local royal gossip circle people say it's Louis who found a new love interest and the communique citing they grew apart is just a polite detour.
Whatever the reason, it was very fast indeed. And I still think it's too sad it happened at all.

  8. So sad. I hope they are both happy in years to come and that their children are happy too.
