  1. Their divorce did not make her sad as I can see from her happy smile.

  3. That dress just doesn't look good. Not on her, generally.

Kristina, I can't really take your comment well this time (sorry). What is she supposed to do, go out and pose at a charity event with glum and sour face a la Charlotte Casiraghi?
Or was it meant to be irony? :)

    1. Zl, absolutely not what you think.
Some people get depressed after the divorce and some are happy and she is obviously happy. And that is nothing wrong with that.

    2. Hmm, you might be right but I'm not sure. One can put up a string of civilised smiles even in the hardest moments. I mean, what I'm not sure about is that she seems happy. I'd rather say she seems relieved. But of course these are just nuances and based on photos so who knows... :)

    3. Zl,I quess we will never know for sure, we can only make comments about what we see on the photos.
It is true smiling doesn't necessarily means you are happy sometimes it just means you are strong.

  4. I thought why the black bra until I realized it is part of the dress or for coverage in the cutouts. Dress is pretty and I am okay with her heel choice too. She looks very happy.

  5. First asking the media to respect her privacy (because of the painful Situation) and the next day posing deliberately for the cameras? A little bit bizarre.

  6. I guess she is getting on with her life. Most of us have had to do that for one reason or another at some point.
That said, I think the dress is a bit strange as the satin front looks like an apron, and the black piece looks like an attempt to correct a mistake in a sewing class.

The timing and publicity of this event seems to be important for Princess Tessy and the royal house. She seems not to be leaving her life behind, but rather reconstructing her role as a "lesser royal" with the role and respect she deserves as a working woman and mother.

My experience with divorce and that of other people I have known who divorced is that the time leading up to the finality is most awful and once the decision is made there is significant opportunity for acceptance and healing.

There are many situations that lead a couple to divorce. Why shouldn't she be happy? Perhaps she has survived an ordeal in the relationship; perhaps she sees new opportunities for herself and her children; perhaps she is hopeful that her husband will be happier with the divorce as well.

Voluntarily promoting an arts event in Utah is hardly a violation of her privacy. Telephoto lenses as she buys coffee, hacking her media accounts, and photos of the children are examples of violations.

She has always seemed to be a relaxed and caring person and has handled her royal role and divorce with grace. She is probably much more concerned about her children and patronages at this point, and if that brings a smile to her face she is a role model in my opinion.

  10. Think of the late Lady Di. She was photographed smiling because she was in the public, doing her duty. Yes, she may be going through divorce, but this is part of her duty, and they're not officially divorced yet. It's a charity event, and one can be professional in the public and maybe not so in private.

Although, I wonder if she will be allowed to keep any royal title after divorce? I don't think she can do Tessy, Princess of Luxembourg. Stephanie is a Countess before marriage and Diana was a Lady before Charles. Her second title is Princess of Nassau and Bourbon-Parma. Just a curious mind wants to know.

  11. Tessy took on the role of wife and mother with aplomb and there is no reason to expect any less from Tessy now. Once again I imagine she will do her own and the Grand Ducal Family proud.

I simply wish Tessy all the best. I am sure when she married, she married for life, but sadly this is not always how things always work out in reality.
