It seems to always be the circus with them. A couple of days ago they were also there - with the seals! I seem to recall Stephanie has had a long association with circuses... That said, it's quite a change since the last photos, with better hair colour and some makeup on Stephanie.
Diane, that is what "being royal" in Monaco stands for. The circus festival, car races, gambling, and tax laws, that attract very rich people from other countries (Michael Schumacher for example, who is born german) to change their citizenship. That is Monaco.

Diane, Stephanie literally 'ran away to join the circus'. "In 2001, Stéphanie began a relationship with married elephant trainer Franco Knie and moved, along with her three children, into Knie's circus caravan. However, that relationship came to an end in 2002, and Stéphanie and her family returned to Monaco. On 12 September 2003, Stéphanie married Portuguese acrobat Adans Lopez Peres, a member of Knie's circus ensemble. The marriage ended in divorce on 24 November 2004.
Diane, you can add thank you in catalan to your list: "gràcies" or, a little bit affected, "mercès". The tonic accent in both words is like the french "accent grave".
This is a wonderful hairstyle change from the impromptu tight ponytails of Stephanie. Also, great makeup! Pauline Ducruet is very pretty actually but is THAT a crop top????
I actually don't see anything wrong with her wearing a crop top. Yes she's at an official royal event but she appears to have a coat on and a scarf. They're very much in style and she looks great in it.
I was not commenting on fashion. In fact my very point is that a circus is not like... mental health or hospice or art. Fashion has nothing to do w my comment. The fashion is second to the thing they are attending like diplomatic dinners, tours of countries. Frankly the only family that is really ALL about fashion shows is this family. But my question was why is the circus important? You missed my point but thanks.
Heather, you are right about circuses.Eventually circuses will lose their appeal because of animal cruelty I hope it will happen sooner than later. The same goes for Zoos around the world. No more Zoos , no more keeping animals in small spaces.
Puede que haya cambiado de peinado, pero lo que le ha quitado 15 años de encima es la cirugía, que ha sido un éxito claramente y hace bien si es su voluntd, pero no hay que engañarse hablando de pelo y maquillaje y bla bla bla.
I prefer royals attending circus performances rather than football/soccer worldcups or Olympics which are both a big dirty swamp of corruption and doping.
To tell the truth, I don't understand the positive comments on Stephanies new hairstyle at all. I think it looks wierd, like a helmet, that does not belong to her. Color is much too dark, these fringes accurately formed with a circular brush, curly sides, she looks like an ageing houesewife in the eighties who is desperately seeking for a youthful look. Earrings don't match the outfit. Lipstick has not the right color, same for the blusher, it adds to her harsh facial expression. Sorry, but not a good look at all. Okay, it is better than the hairstyle she had for so long, which was a mere desaster, but far away from good.
Agree with you Beth. Such a fringe suits only very young girl. It would suit her if she had fringe to the side ( like Diana Brown has on her photo) Well, she never really looked good whether it was her make up her hairdo or taste in fashion.
Oh my hair and my side bangs :) I love them! Less severe look and also nice with hair up.
I do think Stephanies hair style is severe and the very too short bangs makes her face look too harsh. Very few ppl can wear bangs like that without looking odd. Reminds me of the old bowl looking cuts the monks wore in the 15th century.
wat heeft Lizzie er last van ,nooit posetief wat jammer als je zo moet leven.!!! maar prinses Stefhanie ziet er mooi uit ,ik heb respekt hoe ze alles doet ,en haar kinderen zijn gek op haar !!!
Can someone explain this event? I do not understand why a Circus is such a royal occassion and why they show up night after night and the scarves?
ReplyDeleteI mean no disrespect I just have no clue why this is so big.. a circus?

DeleteDiane, they hand out awards to the artists who are among the best of the world. Circus Oscars so to speak.

Oh lovely thanks for all the lessons! I love languages. Thanks ladies!
DeletePrincess Stephanie looks lovely and has a youthful look to her face. This hairstyle suits her face very well.
ReplyDeleteYes! It takes away 15 years from her and makes her looks so much softer and more feminine. There are several royals who should follow her example.
DeletePrincess Stephanie looks amazing!

ReplyDeleteIt's an International Circus Festival in Monaco and Stephanie is the patron…… not everything is about fashion events for royals!

I also don't understand the obsession with the circus. I think circuses are trashy, creepy and not humane to the animals. I exclude Cirque du Soleil.

I agree Heather I am not a fan of zoos or circuses. Ringling Brothers just shut down in the States.

ReplyDeleteDidn't recognise Stephanie at first ! The hair style has softened her features, she looks lovely, best we've seen her in a while !
