On January 4, 2016, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attend a annual New Year's reception held by Queen Margrethe of Denmark for officers from the Military Personel and Danish Emergency management agency at the Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen, Denmark. |
That is a deadly amount of berry colour on Mary. Yes, she looks polished and lovely but she also looks a cartoon figure drawn in Microsoft Paint, with a clear abuse of the "Fill with colour" option.
ReplyDeleteHa ha haaa! You are an Apple-user, aren't you?
DeleteIt IS a lot of the same colour but the cape looks better than it did over the gold dress at the earlier new year event. I still think the cape is an ageing look on her.
DeleteCoralie, no, I'm not even an Apple user :D Not even my phone! :)
DeleteI love the Danish when they have these three receptions new year time when all other royal houses are silent.
ReplyDeleteNice and successful outfit. Not my favorite color but becoming to Mary.
Agree with you completely.
DeleteSomething that we can agree on :)
DeleteRaquel; we can agree of many things but not all. (your macarons look divine :-))
DeleteThanku very much Blondiini! I don't take personalty. As long as we are respectful with each other :)
DeleteRaquel; me either, it is just things we argue about. I am very sure you are a nice person.
DeleteThanku very much ;) i'm sure your are too.
DeleteMary is one of my favourite royals. she is always well groom and here she looks elegant. Not my favourite outfit though....
ReplyDeleteI love the color of that dress. It looks good on her.
ReplyDeleteI think that´s the same cape that she wore with the golden gown. In my opinion, it´s not ideal in either combination. I wonder if I´d like it better if it was floor length.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it's the same one. I don't like it but it's better than over the gold dress.
DeleteIt is a lot of one color. Berry overload LOL but I do agree with others that the cape is much nicer here than with the gold gown the other evening.
ReplyDeleteShe looks wonderful and elegant as usual but it is a tad too much berry for me. But alas I am not the CP 😆😂👑
Maybe the cook had promised a raspberry tart to Frederik and than forgot to bake it. So Mary choose this outfit to comfort him.
DeleteHaaaa Coralie 😄
DeleteI like it but feel it could have been "jazzed" up a little with some brighter earrings.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that is it Natalie! It is just one long color block. Some bling would help LOL
DeleteComo Sempre....elegante :))
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the date is last year's. It's 2017 now :)
ReplyDeleteShe is elegant but this cape and colour of the outfit don't suit her.
ReplyDeleteMary we know you a super Crown Princess...SO ENOUGH WITH THE CAPE LOOK!
ReplyDeleteWould love to see more of this gown. I think the cloak would look better longer despite looking well over the muted gold gown. This colour works very well with the Ruby Parure as seen previously.
ReplyDeleteMary is quite partial to wearing a cape ! I think it suits her. She has a good frame to carry it. The colour is lovely, just a little too much of it. If the dress had been a different colour with a thread of 'berry' in it, it might have been a better option.
ReplyDeleteQueen Margrethe always wears the same blue suit in 'tapestry fabric'. Mary could choose to do the same, (she has already a very beautiful dress in velvet). All the Military personel wear the same uniform year after year!
ReplyDeleteI like Mary's outfit…… but some colours just get a little 'sharpness' in the flash light!
