On December 2, 2016, Queen Maxima of Netherlands visited the De Pracht community centre in Waalre, The Netherlands. The centre is one of three winners of a Apples of Orange (Appeltjes van Oranje) this year, an annually awards for social initiatives that successfully connect different groups of people. Queen wore Natan Dress. |
Nice hair! Strange brooch. Looks like a south american handcrafted piece.
ReplyDeleteThe short sleeves seem an odd choice when outdoors in December - the spectators are all in coats and scarves.
ReplyDeleteAnd the dress seems to be pulling in all directions.
I agree but nice hair tough!
DeleteLa robe se placerait mieux avec une ceinture fine.
DeleteThe brooch looks like the Eagle atop the old Reichstag .....
ReplyDeleteHow funny...you are right Diane i didnt notice it π
DeleteI noticed it immediately Stepania π
DeletePerhaps my mind goes "there" since my country has lost it's mind and elected a facist. Sorry not a political blog but it just hit me and all I saw was Berlin circa 1928-39. Though I loved the architecture of the building.
I would never have thought this, but I wish she would leave the extensions and go back to her natural hair instead of this Farrah Fawcett like waves of the eighties.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the dress is somewhat 'puffy' I like it, and also like the grey on her with the brown belt.
The more I see of her, the more she reminds me of the singer-guitarist Charo and her "Cuchi cuchi" remarks. Charo was always charming but a little bit weird.
ReplyDeleteHahaaaa K Hass:)
DeleteWe are showing our age now. Haaa Charo .. I remember seeing her on the Johnny Carson show or that Love American Style πππ
My Mom used to say "cuchi cuchi huchi huchi" and my Dad would laugh. I was lost then. LOL.
I have always liked this dress and Maxima wears grey and brown well, not liking the brooch very much.
