Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan attended an event held by Ability Bhutan Society in Bhutan. The Queen launches the DVD created by Wangsel Institute which teaches communication support to families and service providers of young deaf children and contains over 300 signs, incorporating Bhutanese sign language.

    The bhutanese traditional dresses are so gorgeous. Who needs western fashion when you can wear this all the time!

    ZL, this was my first thougt too. Jetsun's dress is wonderful. Pitty that we see Japanese royals so rarely in kimonos.

    I love her pink ensemble. And most of all I love how she's becoming active in her role as the Queen. Hopefuly more engagements like this to come..
