    1. I'm not sure about that. It seems too casual in a country where formality seems to matter.

    2. From the photos, she's just stepping of the plane. So guessing she travelled in those clothes.

  3. Its hot in India you don't expect her to wear suits!!

    1. No, I don't expect that. However, the person welcoming her is wearing a suit etc. and she could have changed clothes on the plane!

    2. No. But those shoes...?

    3. There are much better choices for hot and humid weather, think of Mary or Marie in Africa, or Catherine in India. This is not a respectful way to meet any officials. What did she think, these shoes!!...there is no excuse ever to wear something that ugly, can't look at it, my eyes hurt.

  4. I don't get all those 'royal' women flying all over the world to support this cause and that, when there is probably always something to support in their own country. Maxima, Victoria, Rania, Mathilde, Letitia and a few more, are all over the place these days.

  5. That shoes are good for picnic but absolutely not for official visit in another country. The same goes for sunglasses on her head.

    1. I totally agree with the shoes, the sunglasses and the whole attire. This is totally inappropriate and disrespectful when visiting a foreign country. Look how polished and graceful the two gentlemen are, she is talking to. If you want to play on international relations and politics, you should know the rules. She could have changed and put on some make up before leaving the plane.
Btw who is the lady in the back, with the sunglasses on her head? her assistant? this explains everything!

    2. That outfit is perfect , she just arrived and look at all rotal ladies that visit such regions as this one , they are all dressed really casual . This outfit is very modern and inspired! Bravo!

  6. Just a little too casual in my opinion. There are many other options that are sandal looking that would have been dressier. Little too "easy going"

  7. Have any of you been to India. I am sure that Charlene, being so fashion conscious as she is, would not have worn anything that is not appropriate for the visit. She would have made a proper investigation in order not to offend the anyone in India and to keep the standard of Monaco in tact

  8. Yep her whole attire is soo Indian. Comfortable with a touch of class's. Well done Charlene for your humanitarian work!!!

    1. I have been several times in India and can see nothing "India" in Charlene´s clothes. She looks unclean and shabby. Also there is no class at all.

    2. Only flying economy class all the way from Monaco to India would explain her look.

    3. Well you are entitled to your opinion. But I do not agree with the no class. Charlene is one classy girl and to say unclean and shabby that is down right rude to Princess Charlene. But that is just my entitled opinion.

  9. Charlene may dress as she chooses. She is the Princess not us! Charlene is neat and tidy, clean and fresh faced, without any makeup. I think she looks lovely.

    1. In private life yes, she can wear or not to wear whatever she likes but when it comes to official visits there are certain rules.

    2. Kristina; agree. If you have an official work to do, it would be polite and appreciative to dress and behave as valueing the people who she is meeting with. In these pictures it is not so.

    1. Thank you Cyrus BUT she is representing Monaco and there is an expectation that she will be dressed more in tune with her role as the Princess. I dress like that on a trip to the islands or Mexico and I am no one and who cares? But if I was going to represent my company I would put on some dressier shoes leaving the plane. There are times we dress for what we are representing and not ourselves. There are many shoe choices. Rania lives in a hot often humid climate and she doesn't wear the gladiator sandals on arrival. It is too casual (shoes especially) no matter who she is meeting.

  12. I am a native of madurai city. Now living in chennai. I cannot agree with Sebastian. Its south India, and we expect a very formal way of behavior in each and everything. I expected Charlene in a different angle. This wasnt appropriate. People of south india will not believe she is a princess. Moreover good humanitarian work. India welcomes you.

  13. Well, when I commented her outfit I really didn't think that in the moment she stepped out of plane, she was officially representing her state but of course obviously that was the case.
