On the last day of visit to Portugal, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain and Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, accompanied by Champalimaud Foundation President Leonor Beleza, visited the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal. 30 November 2016. Queen Letizia wore a Zara Military Jacket. |
A beautiful and hardworking lady wow!!
ReplyDeleteElegant, appropriate to the occasion, and with a bit of glam ( those earrings).
ReplyDeleteQueen Letizia has come a long way since she married King Felipe. She dresses more elegantly now and just wow, her face is much prettier. Just looking at her photos from early years in marriage and today, all I can say is that she got a pretty good doctor. She's more confident now. Good for her!
ReplyDeleteI have to partly disagree. The outfit is great, I love the jacket and it's sure Letizia has stepped up fashionwise since her marriage (then again, which royal wife hasn't? Oh, sorry, except for Stephanie). As for her face however, she is pretty now indeed but I think with the plastic surgery on her nose and her chin she kind of lost her character. I mean, it's not that she completely lacks any character, she just lost her original character. I also think it's rather sad that it is a positive thing that she looks more confident with her reformed face given that she WAS pretty to begin with. It's sad because it either suggests something terrible about today's beauty obsessed society or it implies that she is just plain vain. My bet it's rather the first and maybe a little bit of the second...
DeleteI think you can do whatever you want just to feel great and confident and you nobody is hurt in the process. For their kind of job, they are constantly in the public eye, scrutinized by the media and all. Although what's more important is their dedication to their job and what they can offer and do to their country, looking good and pretty is a plus. Though I admit it is rather sad, but it is a reality of life we are in. Just like Stephanie of Luxembourg, every time she is out and about, the first thing that people notice is her appearance, which is sad.
DeleteI don't see anything wrong or"sad" to look good , pretty or beautiful even if that would be with a little help. Why not to correct whatever you don't like and be happy.I think we are very lucky we live in times when we can do that. It does not mean the person is obsessed or vain.It is big help in life how we look and how we are dressed.Everybody knows that. Besides that if you don't adore yourself why should anyone else?
DeleteZL; you write many things like I think also. Letizia is working hard as queen and she is an itelligent woman. I think she and Felipe are probably the most hard working royal couple today. I feel sad for her that she could not do her work with being just herself, that she needed all those surgeons and fillers to "make" her to feel confident enough as herself. She was beautiful before all that. Just remember her at Mary´s and Frererick´s weddings in her red gown or those pictures with black long dress and mantilla. She looked like nobody else ever can. For me personally it is very difficult today to praise her beauty when it is completely artificial.
You are so right Angie!
