Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and Princess Mary got married at Copenhagen Cathedral on May 14, 2004. Today is November 14, 2016 and 12 1/2 years have passed since then. The copper wedding anniversary (kobberbryllup) of the Crown Prince Couple is today. Danish Royal Palace published a series of photos on the occasion of that anniversary. For photos: Kongehuset |
Family and friends had this morning at Amalienborg Palace to mark the day. |
Mary has beautiful legs and a perfect figure.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you about Mary. I think she has good taste in clothes.
DeleteMary a des chevilles de danseuse
DeleteToo much eyeliner.
ReplyDeleteOn yours eyes !!!!
DeleteI am confused. They got married in May and it is November. How is that an anniversary ? That is usually year to year. Or do the Danes do it on the half year? Odd
ReplyDeleteCopper Wedding Anniversary is a traditional name, for instance, 50 years of marriage is called a "golden wedding anniversary (Guldbryllup), 25 is called a silver wedding anniversary (Søvbryllup). Sixty years is a diamond wedding anniversary. First year anniversary is called a Paper Anniversary.
DeleteYes I get that bit Hellen. We do that here as well. But the dates are off. May to November is not a yearly anniversary. Why is the anniversary being celebrated at the 6 month mark of the 12 yrs.
DeleteOk I googled and in Denamrk apparently the 12.5 mark is significant. Interesting.
DeleteThanks Hellen
Half of 25.
DeleteThanks for asking/sharing Diane and Ms Electra! I was perplexed as well.
DeleteShe apped an old tradition of marriage @ 12.5 years but did not follow through with the rest of the traddition by attending mass, thus the couple abdicated (performed the death ceremony, ending earthly title claims, but did not perform the life reaffirmation of king and crown and marriage.. ( the crown is dead, long live the crown).... There was a reason the ancient ancestors went to mass when performing the waking of the king/heir on this date, although usually performed at Easter, which became a marriage celebration later... ....opsi, but i think denmark just became a republic...
DeleteShe apped an ancient royal Easter traddition of setting aside Earthly titles and marriage claims, with the waking of the king or heir on this anniversary date, but did not attend mass, to reclaim or revow these claims, there was a reason the royal ancesters attending mass after performing this waking ceremony.... Thus making denmark a republic...thats why you dont have silly commoners perform ancient royal tradition..... Untrained and no knowledge. Still , republicans will love this miss, its an abdication......
DeleteMary has an exceptionally beautiful profile. Have nearly always found her choices in clothes to be excellent--attractive but not too revealing. She seems to have common sense as well as taste.
ReplyDeleteMary is such a beautiful woman. Yes, and she knows how to dress well. A perfect Queen.
