Yesterday evening, on November 26, 2016, Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the opening of Queen Elisabeth Concert Hall (Koningin Elisabethzaal) in Antwerp. The Queen attended the concert organized to mark the official opening of the new hall. The outfits of Queen Mathilde are designed by Dries Van Noten. |
Those shoes 😨😱 actually I do not care for any of it.
ReplyDeleteMoi non plus. And she couldn't clap when everyone else did because of the ubiquitous bouquet and her clutch.
DeleteEpic fail! She rarely fails from head to toe. This however is just awful blech
DeleteAgreed, especially the bizarre shoes.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea of that fabric was to look "queenly," but the model's black outfit looks much better. Black wouldn't be good for celebrating the new hall, though - maybe a bright blue? That clutch purse is much too big and would have been more handy with a chain strap. The shoes, well, they are creative anyway. Clutzy but creative. Poor Mathilde!
ReplyDeleteDreadful shoes! It looks as though the heals were broken and someone half-heartedly attempted to fix them with whatever they could lay their hands on, a couple of bronze beads and heaven knows what the other things are...
ReplyDeleteI hope we'll never see that outfit again.
ReplyDeleteI think she looks good, well put together and she seems like such a pleasant person, but her shoes are horrid.
ReplyDeleteI like... Esp with tiled floor photo, matches. Shoes up close odd, but from distance ok.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting take on heels (=polite way of saying they are dreadful :) It's a bit like wooden children's building blocks, or Duplo pieces.
ReplyDeleteAs for her coat and dress, I think it looks nice and the neckline is especially unique. I just can't imagine she felt ok in those short sleeves, it was quite freezing in Belgium.
