The skirt of the dress is too full, don't like the color and design in the middle, the" thing"on her head is awful.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of gold shoes you don't wear daytime , sunglasses are too manly looking to her outfit.
But I do like her simple jewellery this time and her smile without opening too much mouth.
Queen Maxima looks always good with that kind of hairdo.
ReplyDeleteShe changed her shoes! From Jimmy Choo to Gianvito Rossi ;-)
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima looks good. She really can wear this kind of outfit as she has the height to pull it off. Well done!
ReplyDeleteSkirt part of dress would be better either little longer or slimmer. Color is nice, I love her necklace here.
ReplyDeleteIt's Spring in Australia and these colors are perfect for the season. Full skirt is classically pretty. Delicate details of necklace are interesting -- don't remember seeing this piece before.
ReplyDeleteThe necklace is from the collection of queen Juliana, the grandmother of king Willem Alexander. It's a beautiful honor.

DeleteThank you for the identification. Lovely family piece.
DeleteThe necklace is made of gold, diamonds, turquoises and pearls. It deserves geting out more often.
DeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, her hair is lovely. The fascinator/hat is not her best neither her worst, I can live with that. I think there is nothing wrong with the dress' skirt, maybe if it would be an inch longer... And I like those turquoise brushstrokes on her waist, I think it goes well with the main colour of the dress. Her necklace is just to die for, I haven't seen it before on her and didn't know it was from Q. Juliana's collection, thanks for the info Lien! I'd probably never wear metallic shoes for daytime events but then again, I don't have metallic shoes at all :D I think it looks good and it's a very 'Máxima' choice. Overall, she looks lovely. And I still love her smile!
ReplyDeleteI think the dress/skirt is too full. Way too many pleats which makes it look too big. Perhaps as ZL said if it was a little longer it might hang better.
ReplyDeleteThe green blue painting effect is too much. If had not started at the waist as in all the way around and then up it might be better. Perhaps if the color was higher from waist. Hard to explain. It looks odd to me.
LOVE the necklace!
The hat? Meh
The shoes? Nyet! Not a fan of metallic shoes. Especially in the day hours.
But as always Maxima is beautiful no matter what when she smiles.

ReplyDeleteThe Gianvito Rossi shoes are much better than the Jimmy Choo Sling Pumps. Too much golden for daytime. I agree with what was said above, the skirt would have looked better a few inches longer, and the green ornament would have looked better not starting straight from the waistlaine but fainting out a few inches above. The necklace is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteStylish, adventurous, smiling, having fashion fun, and in love with her husband, she looks loving and enjoying being a Queen Her leap into a new combination of what to wear that day is delightful. She always looks like a Queen, elegant.

ReplyDeleteLove that necklace!
ReplyDeleteAlways interesting! I really like this color combo... Quite unique and different, but she pulls it off. I like the dress and all accessories. She is a stylish, young Queen. Fashion is a 40- yr cycle/circle... Her hat/fascinating is a nice tilt of a reminder to me of the 50's and a but of her SAm. fashion and culture.
