Her daughter Leonor is the Princess of Asturias. This would have been a perfect time for her to show up and greet the children, but no. She's also the Princess of Girona, and when they had some award not long ago, it was Queen Leti that showed up, not Leonor. Hmmmmm. Since this is a fashion blog, I have to say that she would look better with a short sleeve rather than sleeveless, her arms are pretty scary looking.
Fresh and understated look that keeps the focus on students and the opportunity to study with musical masters. There is someone higher in rank than Letizia who introduces his children to public life as he sees fit. While other 10 year old royals are on holiday this one must be made to work (because that's what these acts are to the average royal) at an event that her mother is perfectly capable of standing in for her. Never miss an opportunity to criticize. It's there if you look hard enough.
Answering one's own question??? The King does indeed outrank everyone in monarchical society. Changing the subject of child labor that was the focus of the post?
It was renamed the Princess of Asturias/Girona awards, but I believe they are waiting until Leonor is older. Felipe did the awards around 13 years old..
