On 22 July, 2016, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended a meeting with Olympics athletes who will represent Monaco at 2016 Summer Olympics that will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The meeting took place at Monte Carlo Yacht Club. |
This would be great IF:
ReplyDelete1. the pants were longer (whoever told Charlene the culottes length suits her should be fired immediately)
2. there weren't those ugly white stripes on the pants' side. With these stripes it heavily borders tracksuit territory.
The necklace is a fun piece. Appropiately carnivalesque.
I totally agree ZL

DeleteCulottes lenght suits her perfectly because she is really tall and it also makes her thighs look wider because she is too narrow there. The stripes look interesting , they add a bit of sharpness to the piece and the necklace is a pop of color .
DeletePerfect outfit !!! Bravo!!!
Well yes, it would suit her for being tall but it doesn't really because of the wide shoulders, I guess. It makes her figure look boxy, which she isn't in reality. Though on a second thought... if this would be a dress, with the same lenght, I think it would look way better. The colour is so fitting for Charlene however. Pffff, I'm lost on this, I don't know whether I like it or not :)
DeleteWhat a weird outfit, not my piece of cake. Blue color suits Charlene very well.
ReplyDeleteJe ne comprends pas le choix de ce haut de robe (sans manches ni bretelles). Je trouve que ça ne convient pas vraiment pour l'occasion. Sinon, le collier est très beau.
ReplyDeleteCharlenes outfit is weird. Strapless = cocktail or beach (in my opinion). Culottes are sometimes acceptable, but half culottes and half capri trousers is really very strange. Necklace is fun. One should only wear white shoes when playing tennis or being the bride.
ReplyDeleteBut Alberts outfit is even more strange. Why does he wear the olympic uniform. He is no olympic sportsman at all. If any of the princely duo should wear an olympic outfit, it's Charlene.
Zita le prince Albert fait partie du CIO ,Sa tenue est légitime .La tenue de Charlene est ridicule on voit surtout ses grands pieds .
DeleteAlbert is a member of the International Olympic Committee since ages and himself a 5 times olympian. If that doesn't entitle him to wear a jacket with an olympic logo nothing does ;)
DeleteAs for white shoes, I can only refer to a very funny 1994 movie with Kathleen Turner, Serial Mom where the rules for wearing white shoes are clearly and bloody seriously (literally) explained.
Cheers from a fellow Z :)
I think she looks great!

ReplyDeleteI am sure the necklace come from South Africa. We have many skilled beaders in our country.
ReplyDeleteI think the beaded necklace comes from South Africa.
ReplyDeleteYes it does, worn a a tribute to her roots💓💓
DeleteIn this age of such violence, what a luxury to comment on style! Francoise
ReplyDeleteThe ugliest thing in fashion are CULOTTES, nobody looks well wearing them.
ReplyDeleteLove the necklace, and as always Charlene is beautifully groomed.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the pale shoes and if the garment had been a dress I would have liked it, but being culottes I am not a fan. Culottes just don't float my boat, they are one item of clothing that should never have come back into fashion as far as I am concerned.
Overall I think Charlene looks very elegant (despite the culottes).
Seriously, who are we kidding here? Princess Charlene could wear a sack on a paper bag and still look amazing. Oh, that we should be half as fortunate! :)
ReplyDeleteCullotes look great on tall people, in this case big NO! As we can see had this been a dress it would have worked perfectly. So in my eyes and taste no no no no!
ReplyDeletestop exaggerating, charlene looks very fine, shes not wearing, sprayed on jeggings and wedgies of doom, shes one very classy hot lady, I would die to have a cup of coffee with her, shes awesome!!!
DeleteI agree with Louise. This outfit is most hideous. 2 differently shaped trouserlegs, one narrow, one wide. Good God! A highschool project gone awefully wrong.
DeleteI suppose you can meet her at the Monte Carlo Starbucks. She graced the opening with her presence. Plenty of pictures available.
Why do so many of you ...cough Lindsay have to always bring in Kate to every post? I mean seriously give it a rest already. This post is about Charlene. Why compare them? They are 2 very different women.
DeleteBtw I have many skinnies like Kate and some wedges. No one has ever accused me of having on sprayed pants or that my shoes reflect doom? Ridiculous. Kate looks great! Charlene looks great! Zip it with the comparing it is like a elementary school yard girls picking on others.
This gets so flipping annoying.
Charlene a des pieds immenses elle devrait les cacher .
ReplyDeleteAprès les épaules, maintenant les pieds, que devra t elle cacher la prochaine fois !!!
DeleteYes the beaded necklace does come from South Africa. In our Country, South Africa, the Zulu Tribe is proficient in their beadwork. The necklaces she has on is definitely a very beautiful one. She looks good.
ReplyDeletenou we hebben weer cometaar gekregen over haar broek ,het is nooit goed !!ze lijken wel op de prive ,daar doet ze alles verkeerd ,die hebben een hekel aan charlene.maar ik vind
