DeletePerhaps Leonore should have stayed with cousin Alexander. For Madeleine to publicly scold her during the ceremony says a lot...and that was BEFORE she fell off her chair.

DeleteI know what Disney dip is talking about. Saw it and her overreaction and reacted myself to it. Even if she wanted Leonores to take it easy and sitt down. She must have known they were in a church full of people and camera so she could have done it a bit smoother. Didn't look good no matter if she scolded or as M best friend ATL says just been word of correction.

DeleteI like Mette-Marit so so much, she's a beautiful and attractive but wit her haistryle and dresses she looks much older as she is. Mette is 42 and Victoria 38 but today she looks like Victorias mother...
ReplyDeleteI just read in another blog that Mette is a religious lady. So maybe it has to do with faith? But reading around a lot of people like this dress. For me it's to strictly even if the fabric is sparkling .Don't like the neckline and collars like this. Nice color though.
DeleteThe colour of the dress is nice and suits her well. She really should stick to pastels and stay away from black, midnight blue and other very dark colours because those colours kind of suffocate her.
DeleteBut she's looking more and more like a dowdy housewife from the bible belt. No grace, no charme anymore. She has completely lost the natural freshness of the earlier years.
I agree Romana. She is washed out when she wears dark colors. This choice was much better. The dress did not seem very dressy for a christening to me. It was very bland and modest. Bible belt? LOL yes she has lost some of her natural lightness. I suspect her chronic neck and back pain may hinder what makes her feel comfortable now.

ReplyDeleteLovely family gathering. Oscar so well behaved too. But the thing I enjoyed most was seeing Estelle so much at ease with Daniel's parents. That was a snap shot into the family that we don't often see. I also felt that Chris O'Neil did not look well.
ReplyDeleteI suppose that Estelle spends a lot of time with the Westlings. I remember having read that Victoria enjoys being with them very much. No wonder, they seem to be very nice and loving persons.
DeleteVictoria and Daniel seem to be a lovely couple. Their "spark"is so visible. Many other couples look nice but they really look in love.

ReplyDeleteFor me Victoria stands out. Her dress looks fresh and yet not too young. Her family and life with Daniel seems so well balanced and grounded. Estelle clearly is happy too. After a troubling phase in her youth she seems to have found her own way and now truly seems a happy crown princess at ease with her future role.

ReplyDeleteMy favorites were Princess Madeleine, CPss Victoria and CPss Mary. Princess Estelle looked so adorable in her white dress and with her first facinator.

BUT I wish Princess Sofia had choosen better-fitting dress and facinator. On a model this dress looks really pretty but on Sofia...could it fit any tighter?? How she must have felt being squeesed in into that dress?! On some pictures you could even see her nursing pads :O At least the color of the dress was beautiful.
They all look great and happy. Estelle is adorable and she looks lovely in her dress., Leonor is going to be a beauty. Not crazy about Madeleine's or Mette Marit's dresses. Victoria is a little like Snow White. Mary looks beautiful and elegant. I agree Sofia's dress is a bit tight and her hat looks like a pancake, but I like her a lot.The men all look sharp.

ReplyDeleteMy but Madeleine and Leonor are gorgeous, both in person and as to what they wear. Estelle's dress is very pretty and so suitable for the occasion. Victoria looks like a nurse, Mary looks OK, no more, and Sofia is her usual 'mal fagottee'. I am 82 years old now but when I was her age I made ALL my own dresses, evenings gowns, leisure wear, sports wear, and I looked better than her in my home-made clothes.
