Queen Margrethe of Denmark held a dinner for Danish culture and art representatives at Christiansborg Palace and Crown Princess Mary attended this celebration dinner. Crown Princess Mary wore a new diamond tiara at the gala dinner. This diamond tiara is for sure an antique jewel but its origin is unknown. It was not seen on a member of Danish royal family before, therefore it may be assumed that it was bought by Crown Princess Mary or it was bought recently for the Crown Princess. |
As seen in the photo, Crown Princess Mary wore as a necklace a diamond jewel we see for the first time, at the concert of 75th birthday of Queen Margrethe in April 2015 and at that time, commenters and royal jewel observers guessed that this necklace will be turned into a tiara, and about one year later, Crown Princess Mary validated those guesses. |
At the gala dinner, other royal ladies wore some well known jewels. Queen Margrethe chose a Baden Palmette Tiara, and Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte wore Flower Tiaras. |
This tiara was seen first time last year April when Princess Mary had it as a necklace during Queen Margaretha´s birthday celebrations.
ReplyDeleteHM looks lovely in that red gown ! CP Mary is certainly building a lovely selection of tiaras as well as a fair selection of evening gowns ! Nice to see HM and Princess Marie happy to re-cycle previous gowns !
ReplyDeleteMary looked beautiful, although I am in two minds, I don't know if I prefer this gorgeous new addition to Mary's jewellery collection as a necklace or a tiara.
