On Thursday, January 28, Queen Mathilde of Belgium had chosen a white dress and a skirt covered with very elegant blue lace at the traditional reception held at the Royal Palace of Brussels. On January 12, at another reception, she was photographed with a red cotton lace dress, and a few hours ago, she had preferred to wear a blue lace top when she had met with Queen Rania of Jordan. Thus, the Queen was seen with three different lace style within 15 days. Queen Mathilde was not a person wearing lace dresses frequently, however from now on, it can be thought that lace style will occupy an important place in the Queen's wardrobe. |
Too much lace for one person. She was late to the lace fashion stage and then she goes overboard.
ReplyDeletetoo much lace. and the grey skirt was soo old , soo old.But the last 3-4 times i saw RANIA she was also special dressed, not beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis Lady oozes style and class ! Even in her windswept look photo !
ReplyDeleteI love the lace on her, quite delicate and simplistic.
Her clothes and her hairdo makes her look older than she is .
ReplyDeleteSometimes lace can make you look older.
Nevertheless I like Queen Mathilde!
Not the hairdo with the green dress. That's a nice one which she should wear more often.
DeleteBut no matter what she's wearing - she has beautiful eyes which reflect her warmth and kindness.
I agree with you!
DeleteI so much wish that she would lift up her head and straigten her bag. She would lokke so much more beautiful, no matter what she Wears.
DeleteRight now lace is enjoying a periodic spike in popularity -- which is why you see so much more of it in current fashion. But this will eventually recede and with it we will see less lace in Queen Mathilde's wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteI love to dress myself to lace so I definitely like seeing Mathilde do the same. And I was using lace long before it came popular, I just like it.
ReplyDeletePerhaps this is Belgian lace which they are famous for. She is a fashion icon and could certainly help her country by promoting lace as new fashion. I like the look and esp as representing Belgium.
ReplyDeleteShe is a fashion icon???? It's a joke?
DeleteToo much lace indeed. Some outfits make her older than she is (near Rania for example).
ReplyDeleteShe needs to get off the lace train.
ReplyDeleteMathilde looks beautiful in most of the pictures above , specially in the green and burgundy lace dresses
ReplyDeleteMathilde looks older than her years and dresses older than her years .
ReplyDeleteI don't like her style. She looks older than her real age.
