I feel so sorry for this 12 year old girl. Her mother is always stylish but dresses her daughter in the most unflattering outfits. There is no girl in the world who would want to wear these old fashioned clothes. They don't even look after her hair. A professional haircut, using conditioner, lovingly brushing the hair, a nice hair clip or headband and a lipbalm for her broken lips would make her feel and look much better. Being a mum myself I feel so sorry for this young lady and would do everything to make her feel good.
Agreed! It is time for a make over at this point. I suspect there is a beauty hiding in there but she is dressed like a girl from 1940. Those shoes are for a 6 yrs old. James is dressed more fashionable than his sister. Hard to believe Sophie wouldn't dress her better. Maybe Louise is shy and finds comfort in the clothes? She has always seemed shy especially with her eye issue. That is fixed now and I wish she would find her way and come out of her shell. She seems a lonely girl.
Lady Louise's parents do not publicly discuss their daughter's health. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2538774/Prince-Edwards-daughter-Lady-Louise-surgery-correct-squint-turned-one-eyes-outwards.html I agree with Anon 1:8 that Louise does appear shy, and no doubt her self-esteem suffered as a result of her eye problem. Hopefully, her self-confidence will grow as she moves into her teenage years.
First of all who can you adult people sit and judge a 12 year old girl. Shame on you. How would you feel if your daughter /granddaughter got these remarks. Not so funny? And as all other 12 year old girls with her own mind( remember what you were like if you can)she probably decide herself what she want to wear.
At the very least, they can brush, comb and condition her hair! I love Sophia and think the Wessex are a lovely family. But her daughter is the Queen's granddaughter and a public figure. She should look well-groomed.
I think that comments posted are often out of line. She is a young girl, has suffered with eye problems and she does NOT deserve vile comments. She is a pretty girl and will grow into herself eventually.
Nothing in said was 'vile' or 'out of line'. The seems are your thoughts and imaginations. I said she is dressed in 1940. I said she is a beauty hidden ...time for a make over. Thathe she is shy probably given the eye issues she had. My words were warm and not vile. Don't presume to know me or put words or your opinions in my mouth.
Have a Merry Christmas and Bless Your Heart (look that up)
Lady Louise's eyes seem greatly improved. Much, much better than I have ever seen them before which is wonderful.
As far as this lovely young girl is concerned, need I remind everyone she isn't like the rest of us, she is the Queen of England's Grand-daughter, she doesn't lead a "normal" life. Lady Louise probably doesn't wear the clothing that the average 12 year old would wear because she isn't the average 12 year old. I am not saying it is wrong or right, it is just the way it is.
How many toddlers wear knee-high sock? Personally I haven't seen many, but Prince George does. That seemed a little strange to me, but I just though "each to their own".
Louise is a Lady and a Princess, the granddaughter of the Queen. Why won't they comb and brush her hair! Being part of the royal family, she should present a more polished look. You would never see Princesses Isabella, Estelle, Crown Princesses, Elizabeth, Leonor or Amalia in public with messy hair.
She's a child with very curly hair at a horse show! Isnt it enough they they are dressed up? Besides, Q. Max's hair is at least as unkempt at official appearances.
Not like Lady Louise. The picture above shows it is definitely time for a stylist and tips on hair grooming. She is a pretty girl, and her hair is a fine texture, but the right conditioner and grooming would change her look.
Being at Ascot Racecourse is not in her private time. You have several photographers and you are listed in publications as members of the royal family.
May I remind everyone that Louise is 12 years old. I don't know any 12 year old girl who has not gone through a period of gawkiness both emotionally and physically at that age. Also who out there has never had a bad hair day? Like all young girls she will grow and develop in time.
Sophie est tres "sympa".

DeleteLovely, dignified and hardworking Wessexs!
ReplyDeletePrince Edward Countess Sophie seem a loving family. Good to see the dutiful royals out (as is Zara, Mia, Mike) during the Christmas season.
Lady Louise can dress in what she likes and who cares if her hair is not perfect especially when she is in her private time.
