Wow!! She's gorgeous in this picture. Love it when you get a glimpse of personality from the royals. Catherine should have her hair like this more often.
ReplyDeleteEdit
Oh look. Another new coat. I wonder how many she has? It must be over 50 by now.
ReplyDeleteShe's actually had it since 2011 and this is at least her 3rd public wearing of it.
DeleteI agree. Another expensive coat, expensive earings to go climbing.
DeleteWhat do these two insincere do representing HM QEll the people charities, except the last three months of the year for PR and Register counts. They seem to pick fun activities that requires little interaction with organizations professionals, or attending meetings to help plan and raise awareness and funding, like Prince Henry do with his service. These two 'regular' like us and millions from the people via The Prince of Wales Duchy, are not about service.
Anons 18:10 and, 23:4, You attack the Duchess for doing exactly what every other royal is supposed to do , and which every royal does -- that is, wearing quality clothing of local fashion firms. Promoting the local industry is part of every royal’s remit. Trying to fault Kate for doing the correct thing shows you are truly scraping the bottom of the barrel.
DeleteAnon 23:4, the Duchess is clearly not wearing her wool coat to go climbing - a fact which you will discover, if you can actually be bothered to look at the photos.
You seem not to comprehend the massive difference between Kate’s “job” and ordinary women’s jobs. If an ordinary woman doesn’t like her job she can resign, change jobs, go part-time, or retrain and seek a job in another profession. In many countries she can ask for a year’s maternity leave, and if her husband’s wage is sufficient she can be a stay-at-home mum for years too. In her sixties she can stop working altogether and retire .
As a royal, Kate cannot ever leave her “job” unless she divorces -- no matter how much she may struggle to cope. Once she starts her queen duties (probably in her fifties) she will work, like Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, right up until her death. Being a royal is a life sentence.
Yet you want to deny Kate a right which ordinary women around the world have fought long and hard to achieve; a basic right accessible to any woman of her age and education–the right to maternity leave. I do not see why being royal should mean a person is suddenly stripped of her human rights. First and foremost, a royal is human being -- not a hired plaything of the public.
Well said! A24-45 01:25
DeleteA24-25 - this is the BEST comment I have EVER read on any royalty blog. Thank you!
DeleteAnon in Canada
Thanks Anon 5:12, I'm blushing.
DeleteIt's good to know that other royal followers like yourself - the vast majority, I am sure - "get" royalty. The intersection of a royal's civil rights as an individual and his/her obligations to the public have no parallel anywhere else. Imagine if every aspect of your life was dictated by a special Act of Parliament! No wonder Anne the Princess Royal would not give her children titles. Frankly, I'm impressed with how well most royals seem to handle the restrictions to their personal autonomy ....
Very beautiful, stylish coat. Always a winner and the duchess looks vibrant, healthy and happy. The fourth photo, the Duchess interaction with the pretty little boy is fabulous! From the photos you can actually see and feel her warmth and affection towards children and my opinion she is an excellent mum. Well done, Duchess Cambridge. A role model for young parents.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 18;10 just to show how ignorant you knowledge of HRH Duchess of Cambridge. The coat the Duchess is wearing she already worn in 2011 and 2012! Not a new one. Definitely not 50. Before catty comment get your facts right
ReplyDeleteI'm one of them who defends Kate for the way she and some other lady's get treated, but when it gets to coats even I have to admit she has a lot and lot of coats. All the color of the rainbow three times over.
DeleteBrilliant Duchess of Cambridge. Go for it. The beautiful sporty Duchess of Cambridge
ReplyDeletesuperbe avec le visage dégagé
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess is always better to look at than Camilla . The constant criticism from some is bewildering .
ReplyDeleteAt least Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall (and Princess of Wales, other) is serious about service and duties to the Monarch, GB UK, and not about what was worn, proper royal protocol or awful weight loss and flashing.
DeleteAnother comment which makes no sense. If you actually followed Camilla, you would know that she has an extensive, carefully chosen wardrobe, and always fits in with royal protocol. I fail to see why it's OK when all other royals e.g. Camilla pay attention to these matters, but wrong if Kate does the same. As for weight loss - if you actually could be bothered to learn about royals, you would know that CP Victoria and the late Princess of Wales both lost weight while suffering from an eating disorder. Or are you now going to say that the Princess of Wales was unfit for her role? and as for "flashing"- every female royal has been criticised for accidentally revealing too much leg, it is something that young royals learn about from experience. The Princess of Wales was no exception.
Delete@21.51 Ridiculous te compare a 68-year-old woman with someone who is 33 years old,
DeleteShe doesn't have the experience or knowledge to understand the colours that just do not suit her complexion.
ReplyDeleteYou wish you had her coat with the beautiful belt. Which colors would you say are good for her complexion? Your comment is nonsense.
DeleteAll the expense on selfish, vain, lazy middleton hair, clothes is a waste, she still lack class, duty and a work ethic helping charities with all the royal perks and luxuries funded by tax payers.
DeleteWillnot has no tax payer inheritance it is already used on middleton bucklebury home (see news articles, records).
Pretty in any circumstance. I love the coat !
ReplyDeleteAll it takes is a simple ponytail and Kate's hair looks so much better. Her whole face lightens, wish she would wear her hair like this more often.
ReplyDeleteRarissime ,le Prince William sans cravate ,mais pas shocking du tout !
ReplyDeleteAnon 18:10: You are totally pathetic.....enough said.
ReplyDeleteYou are jealous of the duchess for her natural beauty and gorgeous coats with beautiful belts.
DeleteAnonymous15:15
ReplyDeleteI think you are a baby
Your coat comments are nonsense and you can't be happy for a new mother and her kids.
DeleteThe Cambridges for me are hard to warm up, there is nothing genuine or sincere about both of them.
