Sophie, Countess of Wessex visits The National September 11th Memorial Museum on November 11, 2015 in New York City. (The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, designed by architect Michael Arad and landscape architect Peter Walker, is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.) |

quelle jolie comtesse
ReplyDeleteRegal hardworking, lovely Countess Sophie! This is how a royal visit to such a sacred site of 9/11 is to be respected.
ReplyDeleteThanks to HRH Sophie, C of Wessex for the proper BR and HM representative correcting that pink coat dress, smiling visit that was W*km trip.
I agree. Sophie knows the appropriate attire for the event and the appropriate emotions to express. She has become one of my favorite royals to see working and representing HM and the BRF.
DeleteAmericans know that it is not necessary to dress in black to visit the 9/11 memorial. No memorial in the US has a dress code. Kate was entirely appropriate. The 9/11 memorial commemorates the lives as well as the deaths of those who were killed. It is you that are dishonoring the victims--turning this memorial into a chance to criticize Kate. Shame on you.

DeleteKate is not a private citizen, she can't wear everything she likes-there is a dress code you know-she represents her country. If you think she does right to wear a black dress to visit a school (as she did)and a soft pink coat to visit a Memorial,OK,I respect your opinion.
Countess of Wessex is my favourite rojal. Glad to find this blog.
Deleteyes countess sophie is a junior royal than kate middleton but she works very very hard, and kate middleton does nothing, while enjoying the perks and privileges of a senior royal, kate is terminally lazy!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAgree!!! We love Sophie not for her outfits but for her amazing personality!
DeleteProfessionalism, work ethics over 300 a year (as Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, sometimes her daughter Lady Louise), and her service duty to HM and the people.
DeleteBlah, blah, blah
Delete"The art of loving" of Anonymous12:04 ,->
DeleteBut 1:55 who many did she have when she had kids at Kates age....food for thought.
DeleteAppropriate outfit and respectful behaviour.
ReplyDeleteIf Kate is criticised for wearing colour to the 9/11 memorial then so should the Queen and Camilla who both also wore coloured outfits when paying their respects at the site. I don't imagine that either have or will be subject to the unwarranted continued criticism that Kate is on the matter.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth II wore light blue and grey, this is not the same with the soft pink.Kate wants to be seen by the cameras, she acts like a celebrity, not like a royal lady.
DeleteCamilla wore colored?... I don't remember...
I agree!
DeleteBlack clothing is not a requirement of any visitors including dignitaries to the 9/11 Memorial. Two previous visitors from the British Royal Family did not wear black. The Queen wore a blue, white and beige patterned two piece. Camilla wore a pink suit. Apart from being ridiculous, rude and ignorant the comments criticial of Kate wearing pink are factually incorrect.
DeleteSophie is more sensitive and offers no affront to the feelings of Americans (such as wearing shocking pink and a big self satisfied smile ) on her visit to this sad and thought provoking site . She seems very Royal indeed.
ReplyDeleteI am an American and I was in no way affronted by Kate's coat. I appreciated that they visited the memorial; the color of thei clothes was irrelevant. So petty.

ReplyDeleteKate’s whole outfits on NY was dark colours then suddenly when she needed to pay respects she wears bright pink!!!
ReplyDeleteSophie shows that she is an asset to the crown.
I was not meaning Kate in my post Anon 22;31 , but Camilla at Ground Zero !
ReplyDeleteThis is not a criticism of the Duchess of Cambridge .
The negative comments on HRH Duchess of Cambridge sound like a bunch of baboons entertaining a crowd at a zoo. The British economy shows a definite growth since the marriage of the HRH Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. This marriage showed a positive contribution towards the British image. Forbes identified the positive influence of the HRH Duchess of Cambridge. Please read that, acknowledge how chick and stylish the Duchess really is. HRH Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit to 9/11 was only one of their several appointments for that specific day during their visit to NY. Make a serious study of how HRH Duke and Duchess of Cambridge contribution towards the economy of Britain. Do not only rely on each others cruel, jealous, disgusting comments. Be more informed
ReplyDeletePositive?? a royal on tour representing The Queen and BRF flashing her bits and several times is 'chick' and stylish", but very Unroyal (low class) as is a never ending from duch middelton 14 years around.
