DeleteHer hairstyle is beautiful indeed! But the dress is not so good. She is just bone and skin, like Letizia, but Letizia has much much better posture and work ethic. Perhaps Kate souldn't wear such high heels, maybe different shoes would make her feel better.

How do you know she feels bad in high heels? And what has posture and work ethic to do with what she's wearing? There is a big big different between her and Letizia. Letizia is a queen, Cathrine is only a duchess married to the second in line to the throne. And why complaine that she's working to little. She has to young children and Charlotte is only 5 months old. We don't see anyone complaints that the swedes are on 1 years maternity leave...do we! This kind of dress have we seen on others before and guess what then it was gorgeous...some can never win and some are untouchable...
Deletekate is LAZY!! never worked before marriage and using her kids to stay out of work, while enjoying the perks and privileges of a senior royal, she has lots of staff, sophie who is her junior does more work the queen who is 89 years does 300 engagements a year, kate barely does 50 a year, mostly sports and galas, shes a lousy royal and lazy royal, and her dress sense is awful!!

DeleteThis is what she wants only be out with celebrities - no noble duties, work or cause for HM - the people who are funding the lazy family lifestyle with millions, luxury palaces and staff.
The dress itself isn't too bad; but on her it's terrible, she's too thin for that style, it's for someone with nice curves who will fill it out. It's almost too big on her, something isn't right, it just hangs on her. She's 33, bra-less is not a good look on her.

ReplyDeleteI like the color of the dress, I like her earrings and a big YES to her hairdo. But as always with her, there is something which ruins the whole look. Her clutch and her shoes are tacky. And her dress hangs on her. She might be too thin but that is not the question, she must have tons of people who could have made it more fitting for her. And going bra less like this has never been the most classiest thing to do when you are a royal. Disappointing.

ReplyDeleteThe gown is very pretty, it is no more revealing than any of the backless dresses that Diana wore, and the gown probably has inbuilt bust support, but I doubt that Kate needs much support as she is so thin.
I may well be wrong, but Kate does not look like a happy young woman. Her posture is not that of a happy and confident young woman. Before she married, she looked happier and her posture was much better.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous celebrity-style dress on the model, less so on Kate. She should opt for something more demure. And she´s too thin, it´s simply not the right shape for her. She´s drowning in all that fabric, and doesn´t fill it right. Also, I wish the colour was more blue and less gray. But: great updo and beautiful earrings.

And, more importantly, I continuously see a huge clash between her glam outfits at such events and her body language that says shy and unconfident. If you want to look really great, you´ve got to own the look. She never does and thus looks like a little girl dressed up most of the time. I don´t want her do adopt a celebrity style pose but she needs poise and must work on both posture and body language, which can be learnt. She would ideally also need some charisma, though I doubt that can be learnt.
I agree with you. Body language is very important for leaders, royals and celebrities. Anonymus attacked me when I said something about her posture but we can clearly see she does not feel comfortable. It is not bad, it is something that people notice. Letizia has the best posture which tells us she is very confident. This is not always good, but nevermind. I like Victoria because she always looks comfortable among people and you can see she loves her job. Mary and Maxima were not born royal but they have accepted their role very good, Kate should learn from them.

DeleteA chat about clothes and patronages is great. But of all one can say is that Kate is 'lazy' etc then who wants to discuss that on here? Personally comparing her to Letizia is just ridiculous. Kate is NOT the Queen nor is she next in line to be Queen. People seem to forget this bit of info. I think it wonderful that she is allowed to maintain a normal life for the children and her marriage. Lord knows the last generation didn't have that time and look how that all ended?! Badly. I have no doubt that for the Queen wanted Kate to do more she would be out more.

I am happy to see her pit and about and I admit I go into withdrawal when she is MIA. But I also like that she can be MIA. She and William will have years and years in the trenches. Once Charles becomes King things will change drastically.
As to what is wrong with Victoria? Nothing. In just am not interested in her. I am sure she is lovely. Her daughter Estelle is beautiful. But I am not a follower of the Swedish Royal Family. So I am not going to comment one way or another when I have no opinion one way or the other.
