DeleteThe problem with wearing red is that it is the Main colour of communism. And we all know the violations of human rights in this "communistic" nations China and North Korea, so wearing a red dress to this occasion isn´t the best choice of all.

Does the queen remove her gloves when she eats? I'm not crazy about Kate's gown, & she could have worn some discreet jewellery. The queen, on the other hand, is wearing too much of it I think.

ReplyDeleteIn this kind of occasion I really miss Diana. She knows how to wear and give an extra glit to a tiara. DK is OK, but I feel some lack of personality or self confidence. Hope she can get some for her own sake, and for the Institution she represents. In 4 years by now she must learn something more than smile at the crowd.

Kate is blessed with natural beauty she doesn't need to be made up she's wholesome. Her natural beauty shines through. If Mary were to stand beside Kate she would look like her domestic attendant.

Deletethe photos of her at the banquet table are out of context, they are cropped. In better photos she is sitting listening to a speech, or a toast, one can see speakers at the main table standing and speaking, Kate is listening which is proper.To laugh, be smiling for the photographer or appear distracted and not listen would be disrespect. The woman is worn out, Camilla and Charles should be doing these proper dinners, why expect everything from Kate?

In four years she has had two babies, decorated and moved into two homes, gone on three royal tours, and is making a stand for mental health. Please giver her a break and don't expect her to be like Diana or anyone else but herself. Most of all she is devoted to William which is priceless!

Giving birth and moving into a house is not a job. There are many royal ladies who work much more. Mary has four children, Mathilde also, Victoria is pregnant and works much more than Catherine, Letizia works a lot (I do not like her but I admitt she is better than Kate)... Kate is just a doll in the window...

What is the rule for evening gloves? Her Majesty is wearing them, the First Lady of China is carrying them, but I see none with Catherine. What about the other ladies in tiaras? Just curious in case I'm invited to the next one!

ReplyDeleteDuchess Catherine needs to build up her self confidence. she needs to practice her manner of walking, holding her clutch, and posture, she needs to have a glam squad for her make up and style.
ReplyDeleteStrange that nobody has commented on the lavishly adorned pearl dress of Queen Elizabeth. She, after all, is the main person at this event and Catherine was playing a minor role. The Queen's clothing choices are very creative, I think.
