The Swedish royal family celebrates King Carl Gustaf’s 69th birthday in keeping with tradition with a public celebration in the courtyard of the Royal Palace in Stockholm on April 30, 2015.
King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden: Born on 30 April 1946, his full name is Carl Gustaf Folke Hubertus. He was born at Haga Palace in Solna, Stockholm County. He was christened at the Royal Chapel June 7, 1946. On the christening day, he received the title Duke of Jämtland. Carl Gustaf became King of Sweden in September 1973.

There's nothing wrong with Madeleine's skirt length, its decent and suitable for the event. We all have two legs, and if Sofia Hellqvist can be accepted after posing half naked or covered with snake, then its quite surprising that one shorter skirt can create this kind of reaction. It seems that you are just envious of her ;)

Actually agree. I thought Madeleine's dress during Leonore's baptism was much too short. She seems to like them but she is too chubby for such short skirts.

Holy Crap! There is nothing wrong with her dress at all!!! Victoria wore short dress before and still look AMAZING. You have to realize a fact that Madeleine is heavily pregnant right now, so if she wore a regular dress it will be a bit shorter in length. Farmer's wife? She is a PRINCESS no matter what, she born into that.
DeleteAs for Sofia Hellqvist, nothing wrong also, and should compare with either Madeleine or Victoria. Both of them royal by blood, but not for Sofia Hellqvist, she might had a unacceptable past, but so long she acknowledge that, and the royal family didn't say anything, them we shouldn't talk bad about that.

DeleteThere is absolutely nothing wrong with Princess Madeline's dress length! It's just above her knee for goodness sake! I'd be more concerned about having someone who posed butt naked in the royal family. She's no one to look up to.
ReplyDeleteFarmer´s wife??? I wonder why everybody thinks nowadays that farmer´s are supposed to be ugly knowing nothing about style and fashion. Sure they are dressed at the work differently than other people. That is the nature of their work. I am a farmer and proud of my profession. I love Swedish Royal Family and all the members of it.

ReplyDeleteI don't know about Madeleine being a Farmer's wife, but she does appear to be very spoiled, and like a lot of attention, very unlike the hard working Victoria. Madeleine seems to be all about attention, whether or not her dresses are are long or short.
ReplyDeleteIf Madeleine likes a lot of attention, then you'd expect her to breeze from one event to another, cameras flashing! But its not happening! She prefers to be more private person and spend time with her family.

And about being spoiled so is Carl Philip.
Madeleine and Carl Philip are probably spoiled because to make of for the fact that they are not the Crown Prince/Princess, only problem is they will probably end up like Britain's Princess Margaret (now deceased). Being the heir seems to be more of a burden than a privilege. Princess Anne, the Princess Royal seems to be one of the few Royal siblings that didn't grow up to be a spoiled brat.
