I'm not disrespectful and I'm not judging her as a person, just giving my honest opinion on the way she looks, what I see may be different from what you see, but I'm entitled to my opinion and free to express it.
She is a large woman, and she is not particularly good looking, but I agree with the second comment in that one shouldn't judge people on their appearance, but on their acts.

Hi Marie, in my opinion beautiful royals are Charlene of Monaco (she is stunning), Madeleine of Sweden, the duchess of Cambridge, Queen Rania, Queen Letizia, and Victoria of Sweden, but this is my personal view. As I said in my comment we all have different views on beauty.
Madeleine is gorgeous, she is the most beautiful princess in Europe, followed by Kate Middleton. Mette Merit is not beautiful, and she is much older, but it's not always about the beauty, there are other qualities which are equally important.
My favourite royals are Queen Maxima and Queen Letiza, both of them are very beautiful and elegant. Having said that, I don't think Princess Mette-Marit is ugly at all, she is nothing out of the ordinary, but calling her ugly is going to far, and not nice at all.
Exactly, stop bullying us! Like MM I'm overweight, and it hurts me when people make such a horrible comments. We are human beings, and we have feelings. I'm sure MM thinks the same as me, she is not big by choice, it could be her genes, or her metabolism, so please be more understanding and stop criticising us.
I, for example, don't find Sofia Hellqvist attractive (but I recognize she has a nice figure). I also think Letizia now looks pretty but is not naturally a pretty woman. And while this might be childish thinking, perhaps MM is not as pretty as Kate Middleton but she sure has a better looking husband and there must be something special about her in the eyes of her husband.

Difference of opinion is one thing but this nastiness and ignorance just takes the joy right out of the blog. Democratic governments aren't supposed to censor opinions - freedom of speech - but commercial bloggers interested in maintaining an enjoyable blog are well within their rights to do so (like orderofsplendor does). Seems we have one or a few 'anonymous' commenters who are particular MM haters. This same fiasco went on a few posts ago. It eventually devolved into an American-bashing exercise. Anyone who calls MM 'manly, massive and ugly' just makes me want to see what they look like themselves; I know their personalities are certainly ugly. Duchess Catherine has often been underweight, so I consider her to be only a potentially attractive woman. (It is widely known that underweight women suffer more frequently from hyperemesis gravidarum, and many have commented on her low weight over the years.)
Princess MM has exquisite features. She has one of the best facial bone structures of any royal and of most of any other public figure. She has a wide forehead and cheekebones and her teeth are full and well-spaced. A healthy beautiful woman. (who could probably stand to lose about 15 pounds and stop bleaching her hair).
Unfortunately the traditional outfits are not slimming. She is probably wearing underskirts as well as the satin skirt and enormous apron.

And Catherine, who dated William and probably could not survive one day as a waitress. Being a single mum and waitress is hard work. Many of the royal ladies would not be able to do it. They work well (or barely work) within their spheres of ease (this isn't true of all, of course, especially not HSH Princess Charlene, but CP Mary had a pretty cushy job, as did many of the royal ladies). MM may not be what many people would want as queen, she will not be my queen, but I respect her and also the Prince's happiness with her and their family.
Mary was a marketing executive, which is why she met Fredrick in a bar at the Olympics, she was at the event working. Being Princess is like becoming managing partner of one of the most glamourous firms in the world and she's very good at it, she has charisma and work ethic. But she was not a solicitor.
Someone here has a strange fixation with the duchess of cambridge, mmm, a bit scary. going back to the subject, 3 of the 4 ladies mentioned above (Maxima, Mary, and Letizia) did study and passed a university degree, did work in very demanding jobs, and they all did very well. Don't say they had an easy live, they do now, but they deserve recognition for their previous professions. I have nothing against waiters, but it's a job that anybody can do.

Mette Marit is special to me, and the traditional clothing is beautiful. Her hair colour is awesome. From her wedding day until now i loved her . There are of course other royals also beautiful. Most are really stylish. The newest on the list from Sweden to be married is Sofia. She is really exquisite. Dressed in the right wedding dress she will top my list for beauty. I loved Princess Charlene on her wedding day - a true modern beauty. My favourite, Queen Rania is not just beautiful, but clever, an educated humanitarian. I love this blog, thank you.
