I do not understand these dresses that seem to be only a "front?" When I was younger this was a sign of poor quality, that the fabric or embellishment was only on the front. The Infanta looks very beautiful, the color is gorgeous on her!
This is something which is very much on trend. Jackets, dresses, shirts, made of two different fabrics, as a contrast, it is not a sign of poor quality, it's just something which most fashion designers are doing at the moment. I don't know how old you are, I'm 34 and 20 years ago I had a denim jacket with suede sleeves, it was kind of fashionable then, never seen as poor quality.
I am 20 years older, when we looked for beading, embellishment, linings, and panels of material that were of excellent quality (such as embroidery or ruching) they should be on the entire bodice, front and back, or the entire garment, or with equal effort all over. Maybe if the back panel was a different tweed or had a contrasting element I would understand this... To me it just looks like a sample! I love the Queen's shoes here however :)
What a celebration of beautiful design and tailoring - even on the trim of the young lady's cape in photo number three! It is exciting to see such lovely work.
Where shall I start? Quenn Letizia looks spectacular in green, it's a 10 out of 10, Queen Sofia discreet and elegant as always in silver, and Infanta Elena gorgeous in red. What a trio!
Love the Spanish royals. Queen Letizia looks great in this outfit, so does Infanta Helena, both very elegant.
