Crown Princess Mathilde of Belgium is currently in Haiti. Princess Mathilde visited UNICEF-supported GESHKIO, which was founded in 1982 as the Haitian Government’s research and training centre for HIV/AIDS. Princess Mathilde during her trip to Haiti as honorary chairwoman of UNICEF Belgium in Port Au Prince. She is visiting projects to projects concerning education in the country.
Princess Mathilde visiting House of hope, a residential care centre whose mission is to care for the orphaned and abandoned children of Haiti, “preparing them to be well-rounded adults, who can provide for themselves and their impoverished nation and to establish a bond of friendship and understanding”.
