Rumors have been circling since the engagement announcement of Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo, but Tatiana has now confirmed that she is pregnant with the couples first child. The baby is due to be born in January 2013 and will be the first grandchild for the Princess of Hanover, Hereditary Princess Caroline of Monaco.
Any child born to Prince Albert II and his wife, Princess Charlene, will take the place of Hereditary Princess Caroline. However, if the Princely Couple do not have children, the baby Andrea and Tatiana are expecting will be third-in-line to the throne of Monaco, preceded only by the father-to-be and the Hereditary Princess, providing the couple marries. If it’s a girl she could be replaced by a younger brother if no changes to the law will be made. Following Monaco law, it is irrelevant as to when the couple marries, before or after the birth. Tatiana told journalists that the wedding is to take place after the birth.
Andrea is the oldest child of Princess Caroline and her second husband, the late Stefano Casiraghi. Andrea has a younger sister, Charlotte, a younger brother, Pierre, and a younger half-sister from his mothers marriage to the Prince of Hanover, Princess Alexandra of Hanover. The third marriage of his mother also gave him two stepbrothers Hereditary Prince Ernst August and Prince Christian of Hanover.
