Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel at the the opening of the Alfie Atkins Culture Centre in Gothenburg. On Thursday 25 October, The Crown Princess Couple visited Gothenburg and attended the opening of the Alfie Atkins Culture Centre.
The visit began with The Crown Princess Couple being updated on current issues in Västra Götaland at the County Governor's official residence in Gothenburg.
The Crown Princess then visited the Museum of World Culture, opens in new window, where she met Sofia Appelgren, founder of the Mitt Liv organisation, and some of the organisation's participants. Sofia spoke about the work of Mitt Liv, after which some of the organisation's participants spoke about their experiences of getting into Swedish industry and how Mitt Liv helped them.
Prince Daniel visited the advertising agency Forsman & Bodenfors, where he was met by CEO Erik Sollenberg and Chair of the Board Anna Qvennerstedt. The Prince learnt about the agency's work and its award-wining advertising projects.
The day in Gothenburg concluded with The Crown Princess Couple attending the opening of the Alfie Atkins Culture Centre. The Crown Princess Couple were welcomed by CEO Carina Kloek-Motin, Chair of the Alfie Atkins Culture Centre Malin Persson and writer Gunilla Bergström
The Crown Princess Couple were given a tour of the centre, after which the opening ceremony took place and The Crown Princess Couple signed the visitors' book. Speakers at the opening ceremony included Chair of the Municipal Council Lena Malm, Chair of the Alfie Atkins Culture Centre Malin Persson, writer Gunilla Bergström and CEO of the Alfie Atkins Culture Centre Carina Kloek-Motin.
