On December 10, 2024, Norway's King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the Nobel Peace Prize 2024 awarding ceremony at Oslo City Hall. The Nobel Peace Prize 2024 was awarded to the organization Nihon Hidankyo for its efforts towards a world free of nuclear weapons and for testifying why nuclear weapons must never be used again. The organization was represented by Terumi Tanaka, Shigemitsu Tanaka, and Toshiyuki Mimaki.
King Harald received representatives of the Nihon Hidankyo organization, which was the recipient of the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize, at the Royal Palace. Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit were also in attendance. The organization was represented by Terumi Tanaka, Shigemitsu Tanaka, and Toshiyuki Mimaki.
Wouah, ce genre de manteau est tout à fait à mon goût ; quand Mette-Marit porte ce serre-tête Bordeaux sur ses cheveux blonds, elle est superbe !
ReplyDeleteM-M's look for the Nobel ceremony is lovely and she looks great. I love this coat--the design is beautiful and I like her burgundy headband and purse. My only iffy feel here is the trousers. They are beautiful for sure but I'm not liking the pairing with this coat. It's too much of the same color. I wish she had selected a different color--burgundy like her accessories, navy, black--just not these. Queen Sonja looks marvelous--the color of her suit is wonderful on her. Love her pillbox hat! When I'm 87 years old I want to be just like her!

I find the pants refreshing.
DeleteDidnot know that Valentino is able to make ugly things.
ReplyDeleteThis can happen sometimes to an otherwise good designer. But then, it takes two to tango :-) - there also has to be someone with a definite liking for exactly that thing ...
DeleteI didn't know women could be so mean about each other either...
DeleteI like the hairband on her and I always like her hair colout, but that's all. On most occasions, for me, she just fails to choose what is best for her (namely, simple, simpler, simplest, no bows, no pattern small or big and she can look excellent). Somehow she evidently picks what she likes, but it is miles away from what fits her best. Queen Sonja wears oldie but goodie. And the gentlemen could arrange a championship as to whose pants are more accordeon-like at the bottom.
ReplyDeleteCan you please share a photo of yourself would love to share my two cents about the attire and the one inside.
DeleteMoche ce manteau tout est question de goût et Mette manque de style et d élégance
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
Froufrou, it’s a bit unfair to say she lacks style; she’s certainly stylish even if it’s not to your taste. I myself might not buy that coat but she looks striking in it. It always stuns me that the Nobels in Stockholm are at maximum glamour and those in Oslo are just neat and tidy. I’ve stayed at the hotel where they’re held in Oslo and felt a frisson of excitement to imagine all the peace prize winners who had walked the same corridor.
DeleteCP MM looks beautiful, love the patterned coat, its unusual and suits her beautifully. I love her burgundy accessories.
ReplyDeleteI've tried to find something beautiful in CP MM's outfit, but I couldn't. The coat is not even beautiful on the model. The headband and clutch in wine red are not adding something but do not match the coat and trousers. The table cloth pattern of the coat is making MM wider than she is. Queen Sonja has worn her old outfits long enough now. It is time she acquires something new. During winter her tights are always chosen in that pale grey color that make her legs looking odd. She has better clothes than this one, but I've noticed that she always wear her same old dresses when there is a state visit.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are really a nice person.
DeleteI loved Crown Princess Mette-Marit's outfit at the ceremony. Surprised to see some of the other comments.
