  1. I love the color of Mary' s coatdress.
Is this the one that she wore to Charles ' Coronation?

QM is evolving from a young swan into a more mature peacock.
She's gonna need all the feathers in her favor.
KF is getting older in a more milder way and has still something of a little lad.
Maybe Mary attracts problems and he throws them away haha.
But a couple in balance you could say)):
I love the emperor purple color on Mary and the simple headpiece which is quite remarkable, she loves her hats.
Now her hair is more a piece of jewellery.
I think she is reasonable boring in her usual uniform of meeting officials, variety is key.
I hope she will change clothes more than once today!!

QM is (still) a very good looking woman. I don’t understand your comment.

She isn't that natural anymore, look at beach pictures. Her task is to be a (centerstage) queen and a very beautiful one. Heavy make-up and hair coloring does the trick.
So yes there we are at the territory of her own dresser, hairdresser and stays in perfect shape (jogging,biking,horse-rinding).

Mary’s purple dress is gorgeous and the color suits her so well! I think it’s her best color. Her matching headband nicely keeps her hair off her face and is quite flattering.

Agreed - the purple headband looks beautiful against her hair color. The gray wrap is also quite nice with the purple outfit.

Unfortunately, I don't like Madam Presidente's costume. The jacket is shapeless and a bit wrinkled, it does not shape the figure well. But I am sure that Madam President is a very nice lady.
In one of the photos, I noticed that Madam President bowed before King Frederick. Is this according to protocol? I took protocol lessons at our Ministry of Foreign Affairs and I clearly remember that the head of state = the president or prime minister or other official representative is not supposed to bow to the rulers of other countries. From a protocol point of view, the president of the republic has the same status as the king of the monarchy. Isn´t it the same in Island?

She certainly should not bow. She has equal status, maybe she’s just very friendly or a bit overwhelmed… No harm done.

    5. Stephanie, I can agree in some points you are saying. However, I like to say positive things. I like to keep the negative ones to myself and say nothing.

Agree with you both, Coralie and Anon 15 07. The coat and hair band are perfect, and while it’s not awful, the shawl/wrap is not an improvement. In my opinion, anyway.

Both ladies look lovely in their own styles. Mary's dress is perfect. The style of the cut, the draping, the skirt, the ornament at the waist and the beautiful colour are all very becoming. I also like that she chose a simple headband.

  8. The dress is really beautiful especially the gorgeous purple/blue colour. I especially appreciate the shawl collar and the way the waistband comes together with the broochlike detail and the overlay of fabric that falls down the side. The matching headband is nice to keep Mary's hair tidy in case of any wind.

This is one of the best outfits I have seen on Queen Mary lately. The length is perfect. The color is beautiful and goes well with her brown hair. The headband is a good accessory, it suits her. A pity she had to wear the grey scarf but it was probably too cold without one. A black one would have looked better.

Beautiful purple color. It is also my very favorite color that I like to wear. One of Mary's best outfits,

The purple is pretty, but wouldn't have chosen a grey scarf.

  13. Why is the President of Iceland curtseying to the King?

For Stephanie, there is still some sort of connection between Denmark and Iceland. Wasn't it Iceland that the jerk Trump offered to buy from Queen Margrethe and she said no. She didn't say it was an independent republic and not Denmark's to sell, she replied no. Christine

Queen Mary looks marvelous in this purple! It's a beautiful look and I love how she added the gorgeous brooch at the waist. I hope I can learn more about that brooch. The President of Iceland looks great in her suit--it's very pretty. Really looking forward to the state dinner and Mary in jewelry reserved for the Queen of Denmark!

The gray scarf does nothing for the dress or the whole look.

  17. Magnifique robe manteau qui se combine très bien avec l'écharpe gris clair mais je n'aurais pas choisi ce serre-tête de couleur violette !
