On the second day of their visit to Germany, King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived in Schleswig-Holstein. The King and Queen were welcomed by the Minister President of Schleswig-Holstein, HE Daniel Günther, and Mrs. Anke Günther at an official welcoming ceremony in Schleswig-Holstein’s capital, Kiel. The King and Queen then took part in the opening of an energy conference at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research.

Nice autumn colours. I am not a fan of shoes with straps across mid foot and she really should shorten her hair like queen of Jordan
ReplyDeleteWhy SHOULD she shorten it? It's her hair, she SHOULD do what SHE wants.
DeleteBecause it would frame her pretty face
DeleteWell like the fashion on this blog we express our opinions on style.
DeleteI love her long hair!
Deleteis up to HER choice ! I think she looks quite good with hair behind her ear on one side.
DeleteShe’d look great in a shoulder length bob but she looks good now too.
DeleteWhat an ugly blouse!
ReplyDeleteHuh?
DeleteOh I love that blouse …
DeleteAh another bad comment from ???
DeleteThe Queen autumnal colors are pretty, even matching the King’s tie. I love her shoes too.
Paloma.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if someone borrowed her a coat. She probably thought it was warmer in Germany. The dark brown/purple jacket does not go well with the stone red of her trousers. The big navy scarf does no go with the rest of the colors. I never liked those shoes they have a weird style. The handbag is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe blazer is a bit short in me opinion, but I appreciate The colorcombination. Maybe the scarff is an afterthought.
DeleteNo one borrowed her the coat. The blazer and the trenchcoat are her own, again british brand - Harris Wharf London
Deletewhats the brand of her blazer?
ReplyDeleteUK brand - Harris Wharf London, Sophie wears it a lot.
DeleteWhat a waste of new clothes.
ReplyDeleteHuhhh?
DeleteLa combinaison de son pantalon rouille avec le manteau beige et l'écharpe bleu marine nous montre un merveilleux look ; au niveau des chaussures, je trouve qu'il y a une bride de trop à savoir celle qui est la plus basse !
ReplyDeleteI just adore those shoes whenever I see them. Such a nice change from old skool pumps. I like all the parts of Q. Mary's outfit but I'm not a fan of how the coat looks with the other pieces, in particular the pants and scarf.
ReplyDeleteI think the blouse is a really interesting part of her wardrobe. It could work with so many pieces.
Love the idea of the shoes and they look do great … but also ouch so high, how is it that fashion has brought us to accept narrow, pointed and high shoes for women only, while men walk around with flat shoes, good padding … and well statistically, far fewer bunions. - Grace ( always in flat shoes)
DeleteI knew this outfit was going to get a mixed reaction. In fact, I'm still on the fence. I think in person this color combination looks great because I can see the colors of the jacket and the trousers look different in different lighting. As for her shoes--I adore them! They are fabulous. I'm also loving her handbag--it's beautiful. I think the blouse does tie the outfit together and has a great deal of possibilities with other items we've seen in Queen Mary's wardrobe. I wish her overcoat was more in the shade of her handbag and shoes so perhaps it was a borrowed item or intended for another outfit but was needed today because it much colder than anticipated.

Her wardrobe choices for the week have been amazing but I am not feeling this look. What I love most is how her loving husband looks at her like he is so proud of her. Marrying Queen Mary was the best thing he ever did. She makes him look good and he knows it!
ReplyDeleteNot her best showing. Too much of a mish-mash.
ReplyDeletePetra
Change the blouse, and we would be talking about a nice everyday outfit.
ReplyDeleteE se cambiassimo il pantalone?
DeleteRossella
Why is Mary almost always dressing with British brands? The coat and blazer Harris Wharf London, the pants - the fold London, the blouse again UK brand. She has an unique opportunity to showcase Denmark fashion and yet she is sticking to the UK brands that british royals wear.
ReplyDeleteShe is free to wear whichever designer she prefers. She has worn many danish styles over the years. I see nothing wrong with it.
Deletethis outfit feels like a rare miss from mary. nothing seems to go well together and that looks like a blouse m-m would wear
ReplyDeleteNice pants and blouse, don't know about the blazer?
ReplyDeletecss
The blazer and coat look great, love, the handbag.
