King Charles III and Queen Camilla are currently in Sydney during their royal tour of Australia. The King and Queen arrived in Sydney on Tuesday. Queen Camilla visited Refettorio OzHarvest Sydney, a first-of-its-kind in Australia, social impact collaboration between leading food rescue organisations OzHarvest (founded in Australia) and Food for Soul (founded in Italy). Queen Camilla also visited the Green Square Library in Sydney.
On their final day in Sydney, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited the iconic Sydney Opera House, alongside Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, before attending a Royal Australian Navy Fleet Review and a flypast. The King and Queen met community leaders, volunteers and charity representatives against a colourful backdrop of musical performances. The King and Queen concluded their Australian royal tour before heading to Samoa.
Very alarming how swollen his hands look.Rem
ReplyDeleteHe has had swollen hands for the past 10 years, but yes this time its very noticeable
DeleteThe King has commented that flying causes his fingers to swell.
DeleteLove Queen Camilla her dresses are top but strangely she always dresses in the same style, I would love to see her in a skirt with a lovely shirt, btw the King and Queen work so hard for there age ….chapeau well done
ReplyDeleteNobody forces them "to work hard" it is entirely up to them if they wish to go to a distant country. Every normal thinking human being understands that these royals are older people and that at least one of them is not as healthy as he was before.
DeleteThere is a reason why royal ladies - younger or older generation - often opt for coat dresses on official duties. A skirt and blouse is more diffficult to handle when outside in sun, wind or even rain. These coat dresses, I would never wear one myself, are like an uniform. It makes sure they look good from any angle, standing, walking, walking down stairs or gangways, sitting and so on. They work outside as well as inside. As I said, there is a reason for these kind of dresses.
Delete@Nobody forces them "to work hard" You clearly do not have a concept of monarchy and royal duty.
DeleteTo Beth, I only said they work a lot considering their age, besides why are you so rude it has nothing to do me knowing the Monarchy or tradition witch you seem to know a lot about.
Delete@Greet I was not replying to you but to Anonymous22/10/24 18:24 who said; >>Nobody forces them "to work hard" it is entirely up to them if they wish to go to a distant country.<< What I meant with my reply was: as monarch you are kind of 'forced' to work hard. You have to travel to other countries. You cannot choose to stay at home. That's royal duty. And no, I do not know an awful lot about monarchies. Seems just commen sense to me. Sorry for the confusion. I am absolutely with you: these two work very hard, especially considering their age and their health challenges. I like them a lot, not only as royals but as people. They seem to be lovely people with a great sense of humour.
Paloma.
The same dress in different colors!! she has not worn an official hat (that was Sunday Service- nothing official)
ReplyDeleteElégante robe dont les lignes épousent élégamment sa silhouette ; je remarque qu'elle a ramené dans ses bagages un petit bracelet Van Cleef & Arpels !
ReplyDeleteThere is too much fabric in the skirt of the blue dress. The white one is better but yes her dresses become a kind of uniform with too big shoulder pads. I do not understand why a lady has to have such broad shoulders.
ReplyDeleteFantastic;they both look excellent.Thousands of people lined the roads forecourts ;just to get a glimpse of them.Camillas style choices and makeup is good.Charles looks good in his suits.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteHow lovely Queen Camilla is looking on this tour. She is making sure she is comfortable as well beautifully attired. The King is also looking good--as always he looks so debonaire. He is one of the best dressed men around. I do see what others are saying about his hands--but this is a condition he has been dealing with for many years. In fact, he's always had what his own Great Granny, Queen Mary, called sausage fingers--evidently she remarked on this the first time she saw him as newborn.

I do not agree with how you can find that QC style of clothes is looking good. She is wearing over and over the same old shape of dresses in another color and with little changes at the neckline and an other zipper in the front. KC's suits are old and shapeless and you find him the best dressed man ? You must be joking.
DeleteNothing against finding a style that suits, and then repeating it in various colours and fabrics-but Camilla’s dresses aren’t flattering at all, the cut of the lower part is just a lot of fabric without any kind of logic. A simple bias cut would have given the movement flexibility, flattered her body shape and created a much better silhouette. Those shoulder pads are becoming a little too much as well. Overall a poor choice of tailor I suppose. She needs someone new.

All of her dresses are very nice. For every occasion the right outfit. This couple really enjoy working together.

These dresses, look lovely, I particularly love the white dress and black piping. The backdrop of the Opera house, stunning. It was heartwarming to see the crowds that greeted the royal couple. It was wonderful to have them visit our country.
