I love it when Queen Mary goes in for casual clothes that allow her to experience natural settings in comfort and ease yet still look so polished. She has this look down pat. I love her choices today--as well as her sunglasses. Her braided ponytail is perfect for being in the heat and out on the water. I am so impressed the she, along with Queen Maxima and Queen Mathilde, are so involved with organizations to help people all over the world improve their lives in so many different ways. These ladies have a huge platform and use it so well.

Somebody has to do it. The planes are flying anyway with or without a royal on board. If you wish to go on vacation to a foreign country and you have to take a plane for doing that, there is nobody who will stop you either. I wonder what your reaction might be if tomorrow the government said to you Mrs X this year you cannot take a plane to go on vacation you had already a vacation by plane last year, this year you must stay home. And what about the people who are earning their monthly salary by working for an airplane company ? If nobody can fly anymore there will be a lot of unemployed people. If businessmen/women cannot take a plane to do their job there will be a lot of unemployed people in that sector too. It is always easy to make quick conclusions. If you think about the subject the solution is not that easy.

Well said, "Anon 17:15." It would be great if every mode of transportation used renewable, sustainable, non-damaging fuel but we're not there yet. So, we do the best we can where we can. Who knows, maybe one of the young girls she's helping to save in the Amazon will invent that "perfect" fuel in the future. Let's all hope and work towards that!

‘Columbia’ is an american brand clothing company based in Portland Oregon, named after the Columbia river that runs along its border with Washington state to the Pacific ocean. They specialize in outdoor clothing.

Maybe there is no brand with the name "Brazil". Besides does the brand "Colombia" comes from the land Colombia or is it just a name and is it "made in......" another country.

Anon 16:13 is correct. It is a very popular outdoor clothing and shoe brand in the US and also in Canada (and possibly elsewhere too). Nothing to do with South America.

Mary is well known for recycling her clothes her daughters have even started wearing some of her clothes. I doubt these are new new, she's in Australia pretty regularly to see her family so she's most likely worn this privately. Just because you haven't seen a picture of her in these clothes before doesn't mean she hasn't had them for awhile. And if they are new then I highly doubt she's wearing fast fashion, and maybe she just wants to look good for her trip to Brazil and didn't have an appropriate outfit for her days agenda

Who says this sportswear is new ? It are clothes she only can wear in special circumstances, so she probably has these clothes since a long time. My son has a Columbia shirt which is at least 20 years old if not more. This kind of sportswear you can wear for ages.

It’s commendable that she is doing something useful hopefully for the planet and it’s inhabitants. The institutions of Monarchies around the world leave a huge carbon footprint due to the vast wealth and resources to keep the system functioning
