On September 26, 2024, Queen Mary participated in the Independent Research Fund Denmark's annual research conference in Copenhagen. Upon arrival at the conference, the Queen was received by the Minister for Education and Research, Christina Egelund, and Chair of the Board of the Independent Research Fund Denmark, Søren Serritzlew. The Queen has been Patron of the Independent Research Fund Denmark since May 2024.
In connection with the conference, the Queen presented the 'Original Idea of the Year' award to Christy Anna Hipsley from the Biological Institute at the University of Copenhagen, who researches the history of dogs. The Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF - Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond) funds groundbreaking research and provides advice to the government and parliament. The DFF annually awards around 400 research projects.
Flawless ... georgeous ...
ReplyDeleteVery chic and very professional!
ReplyDeleteIt give’s me a little 80’s vibes this outfit but it’s stylish and fit’s her well.
ReplyDeleteI just admire her good hair quality.
Mary looks awful!
ReplyDeleteDo you have better suggestions?
DeleteMary’s not my favorite royal (that's Victoria!) but she nearly always looks great. She’s got elegance and good fashion sense. But then your comment was only meant to troll…MD
DeleteWhat IS the point of a comment like that? Beggars belief. Is it just for attention? - Grace
DeleteThese short nasty comments are from people who are desperate for attention.
DeleteWhy? While I don't think this is the best suit she ever wore, I would like to know why you detest this outift so much? Can you detail? What is awful? the colour, the cut, the fit? What is wrong with her hair, her make-up, her styling, her accessoires? Or you just don't like her? Seriously, these numerous Anonymous don't add any value to the blog.

DeleteWhat Queen Mary is wearing might not be what you would wear but to say she looks awful is just atrocious. She is a fashion icon who is poised, elegant, sophisticated and does it with such grace and ease. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!
DeleteDear FITZHUGH.

Be carefull, you may get a call from Helen our coordinatrice .

Wow she looks great
ReplyDeleteLovely! Simple and chic.

Magnifique silhouette dans cette combinaison délicatement ceinturée !
ReplyDeleteThis outfit fits Mary's frame very well. However, perhaps because of the colour, as well as the way she has worn/styled it in comparison to the model photos, it reminds me too much of workmans overalls.

Agree…maybe a darker color like navy blue or burgundy would work better?
DeleteWell said, Anon 9 13. Couldn’t quite put my finger on what I felt was wrong with this outfit but you’ve summed it up perfectly
DeleteAnnieM
Wow!
ReplyDeleteYes, very nice.

I don't normally like jumpsuits, but the Queen wears this grey one piece beautifully. The darker shade grey shoes are the perfect addition. Love her hair back off her face. She looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteShe is just an elegant lady, that carry's her self beautifully. I do not like gray on winter toned women, this colour is for a summer toned woman.
ReplyDeleteI also don't like the outfit, alas I was expecting to read comments to help me understand what it's that is causing my dislike.
ReplyDeleteI will give it a try, maybe the upper part is ill-fitted, the waist is too high, or its the color that feels unappealing to my eye?
I don't know, but although her style is not my favorite, she looks fantastic must of the time and no one can wear a long skirt and a "simple" blouse as she does.
I'm curious to read more eloquent "criticism" than my own poor comment.
Luna
Hi Luna, focussing on the clothes not Mary, so viewing the version on the model, my thoughts are: (1) the outfit looks a bit like a suit jacket and trousers but with the suit jacket tucked in, so that’s the first thing that looks unusual; (2) the cut is not refined and has gathers and bagginess in odd spots; (3) the colour is the sort of suit colour that’s serviceable but a bit dead and it’s normally the shirt or blouse that brightens it but here there’s none; (4) overall someone above said it’s a bit like a workman’s overall, but a very expensive one … so maybe all up it’s an j retesting outfit for the catwalk but doesn’t translate very well to actual wear? Mary looks fab anyway, but in spite not because of this?? - Grace
DeleteBeautiful jumpsuit and a rewear by Q.M. She looks great in it and it fits her just beautifully!! I really like the fact that she rewears all her beautiful clothes. Usually she buys individual pieces and mixes and matches and gets different looks. She must be on somewhat of a budget like some of the rest of us but she always looks great!!
Paloma
ReplyDeleteNo fan of a jumpsuit here, and absolutely no fan of people who comment here that others do comment to get attention!! how dare you!?
ReplyDelete大きな肩パットが流行していた80年代のファッションを思い出します。彼女の最後の写真は素敵です。
ReplyDeleteI don´t like this outfit at all. Dull colour, 80s retro (that´s never good!), and too short for my liking. I must give her though that she styled it better than the model.
