Très élégante, comme souvent, et joli coloris mauve lilas. Par contre je n'aime pas le sac. Paloma.

It's a beautiful suit and colour, but I like the jacket more shorter

  3. It's an O.K. suit. A bit on the boring side. It needs a more colourful or patterned top inside to add some pizzazz. Some jewelry would be nice too.

Beautiful color but the jacket is too long.

  5. I like the longer jacket but it needs balanced out be longer trousers. Good to see that , even though Queen Letizia has had to forsake the towering heels, smarter shoes are back.

Not her best suit, but I like the fact that it’s a rewear. Neither colour or cut favour her. But it’s ok, I suppose.

  7. J'ose dire que la couleur mauve lui convient à merveille mais elle serait beaucoup mieux avec la veste légèrement plus courte !

I like the fit but find it odd that she never wears jewellery

This suit is out of proportion. However, how I would rebuild it would make it a totally (better) suit.

Her beige shoes and bag do not color code well with lilac colored suit.

I think that the bag and shoes balance the outfit out, making the lilac suit stand out on its own. Good choice.

  12. I like this pantsuit, the color is gorgeous. The silk blouse underneath has a interesting neckline adding interest. Love the color of her shoes and clutch.

In Spain, women do not usually wear a wedding ring, it is not mandatory because it is worn on the right hand and is sometimes annoying. We also keep our maiden name after we get married and we have two surnames, our father's and our mother's, it's a different culture.

That's why we wear our wedding ring on the left hand, it is more practical. But sometimes, whe we wear other rings we change it to our right ring finger or we don't wear it all. It doesn't matter if you wear a wedding ring or not. I am a widow, I could not wear my wedding ring any more, but I do wear it because it is a beautiful ring in a mix of white and yellow gold, it is still looking modern. Women with a job are also keeping their maiden name (at least at work) because it is mandatory for the administration (on our electronic ID it is also our maiden name that has priority) , for your bank account on which your montly salary appears your maiden name is mandatory too. Times when women once they got married depended literally from their husband are over. Women have studied and earn their own money.

This ensemble is feminine and flattering, especially the soft, soothing colour. The clutch is too fussy and I miss some jewellery, a regal touch. I understand the missing wedding ring has a specific story so the queen is probably avoiding controversy.

Engagement rings are used in my country since a long time, a long time before there were movies, but it was only in rich and/or aristocratic families. Working people didn't had the money to buy an engagement ring, sometimes not even a wedding ring. My grandparents wedding rings were made of a golden jewel which belonged to my great grandmother.
Apparently you have something against "hollywood". You must not forget that the customs in the USA came with the immigrants from Europe : English, Irish, Scotts, Dutch, Flemish, French, Italian, German people, etc.... and they all brought their customs and habits with them.
I know a lot of people who are wearing their wedding ring on their left hand. And since the younger generations are not in a hurry to marry quickly they don't need a wedding ring, but mostly the wife receives a beautiful ring from her husband. We don't know the custom of a bracelet for the bride and a watch for the groom.

Anon 16:09.... obviously you have not mentioned Spain.., .THEIR customs are being introduced
..yes, my dad gave a brazalet to my mother and she gave a watch... Actually Letizia gifted a watch to Felipe...It was a engagement by two persons...at a family dinner...

Anon 16.09, I beg to differ over-commercialization of customs sole comes from the US. Valentine's Day is a major source of economic activity, with total expenditures topping $18.2 billion in 2017. A bachelorette party is an centuries-old modell from the US. Many companies sell products aimed at the organizers of bachelorette parties, including packs of themed games, pre-printed invitations, decorations, novelties etc. Baby showers, halloween..should I continue?

No you must not continue..... I know all these commercial products are coming often from the US, but not always..... besides I do not see what all this has to do with engagement rings, wedding rings, etc..... Look at old paintings or read old books they mention engagement rings and/or wedding rings. In some cultures it was only the bride who received a wedding ring and it was not the simple wedding ring we know, but a valuable piece with one or more diamonds, often a family jewel, which served as wedding ring.

Anon 27:15... Spaniards did not go to USA...they go to México, Central America and South América, when they have our customs, language...the bracelet, and the surnames culture for women and two surnames...so I do not understand what yo mean exactly about "Europe"...

This suit would look better with narrower pants and if she wanted to do a longer coat, a frock coat.
