    Like Queen Silvia’s outfit in spite of it being a shiny fabric. The dress of the Colombian President’s wife is a lovely colour but there’s too much fabric to be smart

      I agree. It's a great spring/summer choice.

  3. Superbes les tons très doux de ces dames ; j'aime particulièrement le blazer de la reine Silvia dont les motifs de couleurs soutenues apportent du pep's à son ensemble !

  5. Ms. Alcocer looks wonderful in her dress and accessories and her hair is beautifully styled. Her makeup is on point.

    By contrast Queen Silvia's shiny suit, hair helmet, sad shoes and purple lips look
    dated. It's truly unfortunate. Those shoes really need to go. They look like ones I wore in 1982 and while I'm sure the leather is soft and molds to her feet, the shoes look , well, lumpy.

      It’s an interesting choice of phrase, to call an 80 year old “dated”. What else can we be when we’ve lived 80 years?! I think the shininess you refer to is silk “sheen”; which indoor photos can show differently from if you were up close to the fabric in natural light. Silvia is without exception always perfectly neat and smiling - and aging feet get a whole lot of grace to wear whatever works for the wearer. - Grace

      @EhBeth
      Queen Silvia's shoes are new. She wore them for the first time this spring. They are elegant with a little kitten heel. Don't forget the age of the queen. One cannot expect her to wear stiletto's.

  6. Queen Silivia's jacket is beautiful, though I don't like shiny fabric, this one is lovely. The color combination is fabulous, love the pattern of the fabric.
    Ms. Alcocer looks outstanding, I really love her outfit. The dress is fabulous, and her accessories are perfect.

  7. Another balloon skirt for Ms. Alcocer. She wears it quite nicely, she is tall.

  8. @anonymous 7:52 . I'm never going to recommend anyone wear stilletos. They're rarely a style I find flattering or interesting. Queen Silvia's shoes don't appear to offer the kind of support that can be found in shoes that are also more modern and attractive. Perhaps there is a royal worthy version of something like Vivaia shoes

    Dear EhBeth, I agree with your remarks. Although Queen Silvia always looks elegant and regal, there is something “dated” about her appearance. Princess Benedikte is also 80 and always has that certain extra touch, I think that is what you mean.

    I'm sorry but that blue dress looks like a bedsheet with a belt.

Paloma.
