The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation organized the very first edition of the Water Safety Days in Léon

The 1st edition of the "Water Safety Days" took place in Léon in the presence of Princess Charlene of Monaco. The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation organized the very first edition of the "Water Safety Days" in Léon in partnership with the Municipality of Léon. For the children of the municipality, introductory workshops on rescue, first aid, and water safety were held on the beach of Lake Léon.

These workshops were led by Stéphanie Barneix, ambassador of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and world water rescue champion, along with her team of athletes including three ambassadors of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation: Pierre Frolla and Kevin Crovetto. The event offer both children and the general public a comprehensive awareness program on drowning prevention and the preservation of the marine environment.

    Charlene looks great in red and confident and happy in this milieu. I deeply respect her dedication to this issue. As someone who has lived near lakes and the ocean, so many preventable tragedies occur every year—all education is welcome!

  11. Drowning is the third leading cause of death and children are most at risk. You go sweet Princess Charlene. It looks like someone is letting their hair grow longer!

      Hi Fitzhugh, for which population are you quoting that data? Drowning is devastating but is quite some distance down in death causes across most countries for adult/child. I thoroughly endorse swim education too and think Charlene looks at her best out of heels and sitting on the floor smiling! - Grace

    It’s hard not to see the joy in Princess Charlene face when she’s surrounded by kids.She really comes into her own.
