To me a mismatch of styles (also in jewelry)

The Queen wears a lovely coat, well combined with a creamcoloured blouse.

I think she looks great. I love the scarf with her coat dress. She looks lovely.

Where does she finds those horrible coats ? I do like her scarf and her jewelry but not together. The brooch does not go with the coat and not with the bracelet. The green handbag, the black boots, the brown coat ? Does she not look into the mirror before going out ?

It is possible to express your opinion in a nicer manner, isn't it?

I agree it is an awful get-up. That coat...
I can only imagine it is due to distraction and sudden obligations caused by the current health crises within her close circle at the present time. She is turning to clothing that brings her personal comfort.
      My best wishes to her.

    1. Maybe the fashion of ankle length skirts is not a fashion in Scotland.

    2. Just a thought. Maybe in Scotland, the length of ladies dresses and skirts have a connection with kilts.
Both ladies and men wear their kilts just below the knee.
But in most cases, they wear long woolly socks to keep their legs warm.
But they are know to be a tough lot when it comes to the cold.

I am not in love with the coat but it is ok. I think a pair of brown suede boots and brown bag would have been a better choice.

She's so nicely british. I love that. The whole style says she's british. I really love that combination. Camilla-outfit. Well done. Frieda

  8. It’s hard to be the “belle of the ball” in a climate like Aberdeen is having at the moment.
Today’s top temperature was around 0° celcius. Night temperature -3° celcius.
Credit where credit is due, Camilla’s doing a good job.

Lovely coat and scarf! I appreciate the knee length and think it’s the best length for most, including the Queen.

  12. The Queen looks lovely, the coatdress is quite pretty. The blouse from what I can see, looks good, but the jewellery however, though nice, does not blend well with the outfit.

Are the boots really black? They could be dark brown, which would be more logical. The coat looks custom-made to me and is very suitable for the cold occasion, unless she resorts to an OLD fur coat. I like the modern jewellry with the tartan coat. Perhaps the brooch and bracelet were gifts from local artisans and were therefore worn on this occasion. I remember that the late queen was always very observant in this respect and displayed gifts whenever she could.

The brooch is a traditional scottish cairngorm brooch. I have an antic one in silver, quite heavy and very pretty. So here again fashion diplomacy. anna e.

I guess Camilla doesn’t watch Traitors, otherwise she would have been able to take some inspiration from Claudia Winkleman’s wardrobe of many elegant, classic and classy Highlands outfits. Too bad. She looks completely disinterested in how she dressed (age isn’t an excuse, so many layers older than her have class regardless of body shape and environmental factors).
