The Duchess of Edinburgh is making an official visit to Canada. On the last day of her visit to Canada, The Duchess visited the UHN's Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (Toronto Rehab). Why is she always without her husband? Other British royals are often represented as a couple.
ReplyDeleteIf you’ve been following the tour, it has been to organizations for which D.Sophie is patron, not her husband. (V.M.)
DeleteSophie and Edward have different schedules. While she was in Canada, he is attending meetings and occasions in the UK.
DeleteI have wondered this too. While Catherine does some appearances alone, she and William do many together also. Sophie looks very good in this brown pantsuit.

DeletePrincess Anne is always alone to do her visits, since Charles and Camilla are king and queen they are always together to visit institutions in the U.K. and going abroad. Princes of Wales fifty fifty. Duchess Sophie yes she is almost always alone to do visits even abroad, except when they travelled together to the Caribbean last year. That's it, since there is nobody else left to do the job I wonder which other British royals you are talking about ?
As senior (long time) Royals, both with a huge stack of their own patronages to attend to, it would be unreasonable to expect them to attend these kind of visits together. By working separately, they can accomplish twice as much to the many organisations they represent.

Given the number of engagements that the (overly) slimline Royal family are undertaking, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have apparently made the decision to undertake engagements separately as far as possible. reason, imo, to bring the York Princesses on board as working royals

Ce blazer/pantalon convient à sa morphologie mais afin de s'associer à son chemisier en soie imprimé, je l'aurais bien vu dans une couleur turquoise !
ReplyDeleteI love the floral blouse but you can't really see it under her coat jacket. Too bad because it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd I heard Prince Edward is one of the most respectful and decent royals. He is a really nice person. He also kept his marriage together unlike his siblings.
ReplyDeleteShe should join Princess Anne or Princess Catherine more often.
ReplyDeleteHer ensemble is worthy of a "nail-on-the-head" vote.
ReplyDeleteThe silk floral blouse is divine, love the contrast with the brown pantsuit, which looks fabulous. She looks very stylish. What a great visit this has been. The Duchess has certainly covered alo't of ground with her visit to Canada, well done to her.
ReplyDeleteSmart brown trouser suit which suits the Duchess very well
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have thought to wear a brown pantsuit with that gorgeous blouse, but it really, really works!
ReplyDeleteIn photo #2 (with her arms folded), Sophie looks great! (in all these photos, actually, but shot number 2 was especially successful).
ReplyDeleteShe should wear pantsuits more often.
Stephanie
A beautiful tailored suit. Sophie should incorporate more simple suits as this into her working wardrobe. It’s versatile and professional. She looks fantastic in it. I hope she starts steering away from the long dresses and skirts she tends to wear. They do nothing for her height and frame.Bea
