Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and their children Prince Henrik and Princess Athena attended a performance of the comedy 'Jean de France' in the open-air concert hall at the Odd Fellows Mansion (Odd Fellow Palæet) in Copenhagen. Jean de France was written by Danish Ludvig Holberg in 1722. The performance can be experienced in Copenhagen until 28 August 2021. Princess Marie wore a new peplum midi dress from Ted Baker.

Very beautiful attire for all! They seem relaxed and very natural energy together, especially the kids. Happy to see them so glad to be together, after their difficulties over the past few years they seem to be doing very well!
ReplyDeleteWell said! They all look great. I've enjoyed seeing more of them lately.

A lovely family photo. I like Marie's dress very much indeed and this soft style really suits her. Ted Baker always has excellent dresses at a relatively affordable price.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful dress but something about it doesn't look right on Princess Marie. Perhaps it should be an inch or two shorter given the lower shoes she's chosen? Or the lower tier is disproportionate to her height?
ReplyDeleteAll in all as a family, they look very nice. Happy Summer!

You are definitely noticing something, Anon 9:13. This is a long garment which can make any wearer appear shorter. If you notice, Ted Baker put his model in a nude sandal, which elongates the leg, and is the secret to wearing a summer dress like this. If Princess Marie wears this again (and I hope she does), instead of the darker brown color chosen this time, I would like to see her try either the nude sandal, or a sandal in one of the colors of the flowers on the dress, as either of those would “lighten” this lovely summer look for her. As for Prince Joachim, here he provides a great visual example of how a black belt can clash with a brown shoe. His handsome combination of suede blazer, khaki pants, and brown shoe would look really sophisticated yet maintain his casual vibe if he’d worn one of his many high quality brown leather belts.
DeletePrincess Marie looks gorgeous in this beautiful dress, but I agree the shoes do not fit . But this is an outdoor garden event and high heels are cumbersome if there is grass but a different color …… or sneakers, I would have chosen myself, lol 😉 .
DeleteHopefully she wears it again and with stilletos!

May friendly relations between Denmark and France strengthen further.
ReplyDeleteI know this blog is supposed to be about the fashion but I have to say, Prince Joachim looks much better in terms of health. You can see it in his face. I am glad for them.

I Agree, Joachim looks fresher and healthier, but that's also because he's no longer a heavy smoker, IMO ? Smart and fashionable, Joachim has never been, always a bit out of fashion! And about fashion , the exclusive and expensive design fashion clothes are Mary's trademark/agenda in the family with own fashion stylist to find it -- Marie is the only one in the royal family, who gets it.

Looks much like curtains does not suit Marie at all.
ReplyDeleteMarie has a clear sense of style that is allowed her to always look appropriate but also not Anglo-Saxon (ie: not a copy of Mary’s style, or Kate’s or any other notable royal with a sense of style). She’s French but doesn’t have a stereotypical French approach to her outfits. Point in case this Ted Baker dress. Followed by a Maje one next day. I like this one better, but both look good on her.
