They're not nice, don't go well with the outfit, and God only knows how she can walk in them. Maybe she should wear stilts to match her husband's height
Beautiful Letizia!! I like that outfit very much! I admire her to be able to walk in such heels :), I could never do that without breaking the ankles, ha ha.
Could someone explain me spanish royal dressing protocol for Queen which apparently is diffrent from all other royal families. Even in our simple office dress code we are not allowed to wear peep toe shoes and we are not allowed to come to the office without any pantyhose is we are wearing skirt or dress.
Each country has its own dress code and its own standards of appearance in part related to climate and lifestyle. In Spain ladies only wear hats when they attend to a wedding, and even in this case most avoid them, wearing at the most a headdress that allows them to display their hairstyle. No offence to anyone intended, but a lady wearing on her head a contraption like those favoured by the british royal ladies would be deemed ridiculous. On the other hand, my countrywomen consider a well kept hair a must, so much so that even in villages is there an hairdresser's salon. Another piece of clothing that is rarely seen are gloves (except warm ones in winter, of course). As to pantyhose, only old women in the most conservative provincial small towns and some nuns wear them in summer. Perfectly hairless and smooth legs are thus essential. Queen Letizia's appearance is entirely appropriate according to our country's standards.
Good day! I know this is kinda off topic but I'd figured I'd ask. Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest authoring a blog article or vice-versa? My site addresses a lot of the same topics as yours and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other. If you happen to be interested feel free to send me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Wonderful blog by the way!
Not a fan of the heels but the Queen looks lovely all the same!
ReplyDeleteIl y a souvent un petit truc qui ne va pas ,Ici ce sont les chaussures .
ReplyDeleteLove the suit but hate the shoes. How does she walk in them? And definitely not a good idea for a museum visit.
ReplyDeleteI totally hate the shoes. They suck all the class right out of that outfit.
DeleteAgree, Darla Leigh. I will be careful how I phrase this, but basically they look cheap, and not in the $$ sense.

DeleteI love the shoes! She looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove the sandals .... they lift the overall look. She looks clean and crisp.
ReplyDeleteToo blegh ! Needs something to brighten up the monotony

ReplyDeleteThis shoes is very strange but it connects pretty with smart jacket and lovely skirt.
ReplyDeleteAnd again: few women can wear an outfit like that. Letizia can!
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely - it all works for me. I can no longer walk in heels that high so I admire anyone who can.
ReplyDeleteFranny, yes... :)

ReplyDeleteWell, I hope your office has air conditioning in the summer then because I can't think of anything worse than tights in the heat...
DeleteEn España estamos a 40 grados y más en estos momentos

ReplyDeleteThanks Sakurahime. Well explained!
DeleteThrow away the shoes, otherwise good look for Letizia!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous outfit, not so gorgeous shoes.
ReplyDeleteShe seems Kate in her first engagement after her marriage (Ascot)
ReplyDeleteBellísima Letizia en blanco. Muy originales las sandalias, ella puede caminar sobre cualquier cosa.
