On Monday you will be able to see the program at http://www.svtplay.se/ "En kväll för vår drottning" The woman is one of the Queens royal court ladies.
The court lady (5th photo) is wearing her official "on duty" dress, long dress in blue velvet with white trellis application on sleeves. It is a redesigned version of the old court dress worn by royal ladies. The old dress was black velvet with white sleeves, but it has not been used since 1950's. This new dress was designed in late 1970's for the queen's court ladies to wear when they accompany the queen on official galas. The main difference between the two dresses is (besides the colour) that the old one was worn only by ladies of the royal family and this new one is worn by court ladies when they are on duty.

ReplyDeleteIt is such a pity that the Royal princesses are wearing fur jackets! This is not worthy a modern Royal family. The Duchess Katherine never wear fur!
ReplyDeleteHow can we tell real fur from imitations? I have friends who wear faux fur, and it looks real!
